QUOTE(empire23 @ Aug 4 2007, 01:39 AM) Heard Storm88 is at the hospital due to his wifey giving birth, or so i heard lah, so getting that new thermochill is going to take time. Bro, if you planning to cool your CPU only. You certainly dont need a Thermochill as there is almost no difference in performance if u compare between a normal switech double rad to Thermochill PA120.3. Kind of overkill. My Windows Vista generously donated by Jinaun has been lost in the mail. Great fking job Posmalaysia, i bloody love you guys. No point waiting, knowing Malaysian regular post. My RAMs got delayed by Crucial due to a bad batch so remanufacturing was in order. Crap. Should be here by next week. Atleast my MOSFET coolers from Hwoarang45 should arrive with the rest of the above on monday and tuesday. Need to keep the 680i cool before i can do any clocking. Mouser electronics is delaying my shipment of Silver Micas from Cornell Dubilier, Bourns Trimpots and AVX wet slug tantalums due to stock issue....WTF. Damn, everything is late! If u really want a thermochill and reach your doorstep fast, order it from DangerDen. Will reach your doorstep in 4 working days if u use EMS. hehe |

Are you using core temp? Either v0.94 or 0.95? Interested to know what the Tjunction is. Supposed to be 100'c.
Anyway, nice OC! |

You certainly dont need a Thermochill as there is almost no difference in performance if u compare between a normal switech double rad to Thermochill PA120.3. Kind of overkill. Well this has 4 cores instead of the usual 2, so i'd appreciate any increase in delta and possible heat saturation levels possible If u really want a thermochill and reach your doorstep fast, order it from DangerDen. Will reach your doorstep in 4 working days if u use EMS. hehe Plus i might as well dunk it into ice for better peformance or use it as a heat transfer mechnanism for a possible evaporator, depending on how much cooling i need done, although an IHS lap would be a first solution. Shawty is donating some MX-2, which has superb thermal characteristics, all in all this is going to be an interesting first foray into WCing. Although the Storm G4 is not suited for quad core use, for now, i guess she'll have to hold Checked Dangerden, no stock..... This post has been edited by empire23: Aug 4 2007, 03:27 AM |

@kvmcom
No way! You're using the large CPU heatsink!!! No wonder your CPU is so cool!!! I see you only put the sponge (the sponge came with the mobo right?) below the mobo. Is that safe? Any heat build-up? This post has been edited by kmarc: Aug 4 2007, 10:19 AM |

Using stock 2160 heatsink? Is it the same? I think quad core hsf much better characteristic to protect q6600.
