From 11 OCT until 14th Nov 2022:

1) Install MySOS to submit health declaration + vaccination
2) Visit Japan Web to submit digital immigration + customs

I just arrived in Japan this morning, there are 2 queue at the airport, one for those that have blue screen on MySOS and one without app or not blue

If no app, they advise you to go to a corner to install and fill up. Those ith blue screen, the officer will ask to show QR on MySOS app n passport. Verified in less than 1 minute, proceed to immigration

At immigration, open Visit Japan Web and show QR code for immigration, he will scan n have all the info on his screen, then place both index finger for scanning + picture taken, he will paste a 60 days tourist sticker on passport. proceed to customs

Customs have special automated area for those that have Japan Web (don't need to queue with others).. just go to machine scan passport and scan QR code for customs at the same time at machine. then walk to automated exit by showing face to camera. door will open and just walk out to arrival hall.

these 2 digital submission makes things a lot easier and u know for sure you have been pre-approved to visit and no last minute panic when insufficient documents.

Anyone been to Japan during golden week? Usually I'll try to avoid but this time is unavoidable. I'm planning to go on 22 Apr - 7 May 2023.

Looking at their holidays calendar, 29 Apr(Sat) & 3-5 May (Wed‐Fri) is public holidays. Any idea whether the whole week will be crowded or it start on 3rd May?

I did some research that Tokyo City center should be less crowded as people is leaving the city. Do the shop open during long holidays?

I'm planning to visit tourist attraction area outside of Tokyo like Mount Fuji, Nagano, Nikko during my first week of arrival then go back to Tokyo on 2/3 May.

Any idea or suggestions is welcome. Thanks 😊

roamingman and travel recommend is the one i always use

*
Among this two, which one would you recommend?

I will be around Tokyo area and I not sure if roamingman top tier 8GB would be more than enough or not, will be using it for work and also browsing through IG/Social media.

Wanted to try travel recommend but it seems like they have 7 days cut off from my date of departure doh.gif

Also i wrote about HIS shop in Bukit Bintang earlier, just visited that area and the shop no longer exists. No idea where are they nowadays.

i used roaming man in cambodia, and travel recommends in taiwan and japan years ago. so far the best part of TR is that i opted for unlimited so i dont need worry at all of running out of data

8GB is plenty IMO, i have a 40GB digi plan per month and i dont even break the final 10GB when i was using it daily commute and life

TR? i checked via whatsapp, they are now in KLCC SOHO. they used to be in KLIA so i can pick and go sad.gif

29 Apr - 7 May will be very crowded with people. Avoid long distant train & highway.
Tokyo city will be remains very crowded because people from other province will be flood into Tokyo for shopping. Abit less than usual but still crowded.
Mt Fuji, Nikko, Nagano sure kena kaw specially Nagano need take Shinkansen, confirm kena kaw kaw.

Nagano will be nightmare level. Mt Fuji / Lake Kawaguchiko / Hakone will be Very Hard Level & Nikko will be Hard level.
* Level are consist of travelling & crowd

New airlines are coming to Malaysia soon in 2023.
KUL - NRT
ANA Low Cost Version macam Scoot.

It called Air Japan. Using B787, main rivalry will be that Zipair.

This also proof my theory, all low cost airlines will be push to Narita and Haneda no longer accept any low cost airlines.

I really wish this Air Japan are sharing same mileage as ANA.
Then Jackpot for me!

Narita are inland airport. All inland airport in Japan under environment law, it had to closed at 9pm.

Flight schedule will be similar to JAL and ANA.
Morning leaving KUL and arrived Narita at noon. Leaving Narita at evening and reach KUL at late night. Crew overnight then repeat again.
