Japanese prefer public transport because they can walk, Malaysian can't. 5km radius from Station for Japanese = Walkable.
From Sapporo Station they will walk until Susukino Zone
From Tokyo Station walk until Tsukiji
From Shinjuku walk to Harajuku.

Ya we are so so lazy, even a 5 mins walk from the hotel to the station my mom already complaint why so far, why don’t want stay nearer like a min to the station. She would also nag me to take taxi for a 10-15 mins walk to a location. Sometimes travelling with family/friends can be very troublesome too.

Not every place in Hokkaido are accessible by public transport eh? Especially Sapporo region?

I went there in Oct 2023. Driving trip with 4 pax including me. I went Blue Pond, Shirahige Waterfall, Lake Kanayama, Tomamu The Tower Resort, Lake Shikotsu, Lake Toya, Noboribetsu, Niseko, Jozankei and Sapporo.

Parking wise other than Sapporo which rate by hour, the other places some are free and some are per entry like 500 yen which is quite okay la... At Sapporo other than drive to Mount Moiwa bcox got free parking there. I just leave my car at hotel parking then use train to do shopping. If my 80yo dad legs get tired then will just use taxi back hotel.

if you go during golden week, i think it will be crowded since the season is from late April to Mid May.

Yes. Based on Hours. Time start when the office counter / Machine hand over to you. Not based on 1st go thru gate time.

Yup haha, stairs were very slippery. I almost fall twice when buying dinner… Tonight walk around Shinjuku heavy wind. Walk one step and the wind brings you two step backward. Btw, you still in Tokyo?

Yeah just check if your roaming is enabled, deactivate voicemail and buy either the 14 day or 30 day roaming plan.

Much cheaper than 38 a day.

Enjoy!

Roaming on home telco is usually the most convenient. Only have to buy the appropriate package and switch on "roaming" and you are good to go.

But cost wise, there are much cheaper alternative. For example. For 15 days eSIM at 1GB/day will only cost about RM33+ with Trip.com. But you will have to do a bit of setup.

Hi Guy I m going to tokyo in early June.. Family 3 adult 1 child. Using Air Asia , Arrival time is 10.30pm by the time coming out of Haneda airport ? 11.30pm, near midnite ??

1. Apart from Taxi, how to get to my hotel assuming is Shinjuku , Shibuya area ? JRline and Tokyo metro closing by then ??

2. Where to stay hvent book accomodation yet
Airbnb feasible as almost midnite and host may not be around to give keys
Any particular hotel recommendation ( has to be near station)
If Taxi haneda to central how much assuming midnite rate ?

3. Any link regading tokyo trip in lowyat forum ?
I m looking forward to stay for 7nights, and visiting disenyland, disneysea, shinjuku, shibuya, daytrip to mount fuji (using klooks mainly ) ,
There are few Teamlabs , (planet / Tokyo / MoriBuilding) which one is the best assuming just choosing one ?

Thanks in advance
