huh? sorry. could you please clarify? we can use TnG ewallet app in Japan?
*
yes, it has been shared previously

you just need to find stores with Alipay logo, and make sure they have the device (reader or tablet) to scan your Alipay code in TnG
those required you to scan their logo is no go

also some vending machines that accepts QR payments (cokes especially) also can pay via the TnG Alipay

I started filling in 3 months before my flight, then just update when necessary

Remember to complete it and take a screenshot of the QR code before your flight

I filled in 1 month before flying. I think their response quite fast, two to three working days you get response from them.

Any idea if kids without phone can fill thru this?

the website allows you to fill in per party per trip

I filled in for my entire family, each person will get 2 QR codes, one for immigration and another for customs declaration

but... according to the current statistic, the Chinese "horde" still hasn't arrived in Japan in bus loads, most are just small groups like families and friends
likewise for Thailand, when they're expecting hordes of Chinese tourist but there's only a trickle..

in Japan, you'll have higher chance bumping into Koreans and Taiwanese than Chinese tourist

Day 2: Kuromon Ichiba Market, Shin Sekai "New World", Shinsaibashi, Pokoemon Cafe, Zauo Fishing Restaurant.
Day 3: Nara Deer Park, Kintetsu Nara Station, Mochi pounding demo street, Free & Easy (not sure where to go yet)
Day 4: USJ whole day
Day 5: checkout early morning and take train to Kyoto

Kyoto
Day 5: Nishiki Market, Kyoto Station
Day 6: Kiyomizu-Dera, Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, Gion, Free & Easy (not sure where else to go yet)
Day 7: Arashiyama-Bamboo Forest, Romantic Train, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Teramachi
Day 8: checkout early morning to take Shinkansen train to Tokyo

Tokyo
Day 8: Shibuya, Nintendo Official Store, Jump Store, Pokemon Center, Gyukatsu Motomura Harajuku
Day 9: Harajuku, Happy Pancake @ Ginza, Tokyo Tower, Shibuya Sky
Day 10: Mount Fuji, free & easy (not sure what to do yet)
Day 11: Sensoji/Asakusa Temple, Ninja Cafe Asakusa, Kura Sushi - Kaiten Belt Sushi, Gundam Factory Yokohama
Day 12: Akihabara, airport back to KL at around 9pm.

I would much appreciate recommendations on what unlimited travel pass/card I should get and any recommended halal places or free pork restaurant, in case the one I stated above served pork.

Also I believe uMobile has Roaming feature at Japan. Does Celcom has? would it be better?

I'm going with my two young kids so most of the places need to be interesting for them. I am very worried they will get bored and ask to go somewhere else. doh.gif
Which is why I'm not visiting too many shrines/temple/castle/historical places.

Day 3 you can add Den Den Town
Day 6 can add Pontocho as night activities.
Day 11 , Since you at Asakusa, you might well go Up to Tokyo Skytree.
Day 12, Akihabara alot scam, water are deep. biggrin.gif Make sure you do compare before buy anything. (Except Bic Camera / Yodobashi)

Avoid Ramen. 90% Ramen in Japan used Pork Bone as soup based.
Ichiran Ramen - Ichiran Midousuji Branch & Nishi Shinjuku Branch are Pork Free. The rest of Iciran branch are non Halal.

Kuromon: a well known tourist trap, razor sharp knife for tourist

Day 11: can depart to Yokohama in the afternoon, can drop by Ramen museum first, your kids should love it, then proceed to gundam factory before sunset, IMO that's best time to see the Gundam, you get 2 views in a short period, day views + night views

roaming pass just get from within Celcom apps, mine no problem last time
