Wah! So high settings! You could probably get better superPI if you tighten your ram timings. See my modest OC on stock heatsink. Can't OC much until I get my xigmatek cooler. My rams are also Crucial ballistix PC6400 running at 4-4-4-8, 2T, 2.1v at 960Mhz...... Attached thumbnail(s)

Some result I obtained from quick benching on my Asus P5K Deluxe as requested by some buyer. 4ghz (1.46vcore) Prime Stable (Blend Test, Priority 9) for 12hours
Untweaked and run at 'dirty' window Pi Result at 4248.
Suicide run

You are only half correct about the proc and cooling. Though, cooling is very important but a good mobo is needed also to achieve that. So far I cant reach that speed and stablity with any of my mobo I tested before.

I think maybe the ASUS board u tested had newer revision. I am hoping at least to get sub 4GHz with my QuadGT...(maybe impossible)....

When you going for extreme oc and high vcore, you will prefer analog as it is more stable.
