@kmarc, i'm in UNIMAS, samarahan. if can test, remember me ya hehe btw, is your proc orthos stable after OC? 3.2Ghz seem bit too low le. aim for 4Ghz and higher la |

actually i use asus P5K Deluxe and gigabyte P35-DS3P.
in term of layout, DS3P>P5K Dlx in term of color, DS3P>P5K Dlx (like cocktail versus black coffee...) in term of bios, DS3P=P5K Dlx (likes the oc setting in Dlx but some function missing like multiple profile, quick boot select, etc) in term of oc, no direct comparison tested. actually wanna test my friend Q6600 on my P35-DS3P but tediously to remove HSF, apply TIM, attached HSF, test, remove HSF, apply TIM, repeat for few times.... btw, B3 Q6600 oc well on Dlx, 3Ghz stock voltage orthos and occt stable. Other spec is silverstone decathlon DA650, HD2900XT, 2GB ballistix tracer 800 pic attached below is my first run with Q6600, directly running 3.2Ghz without problems (except heat). notice that the ram is DDR3 instead of DDR2 This post has been edited by toughnut: Aug 15 2007, 11:02 AM |

that cpuz totally screwed one. if not mistaken, already been mentioned by one of the forumer before. even DDR showed DDR3 while another page showed DDR2... CAS #32 is insane too.

my experience with Coretemp actually a bit different. yep, it caused instant restart ONLY if i enable EIST, etc. if i disabled all those power saving function in BIOS, it work perfectly.

a-data also produce high performance ram but i never bother to check the chip they are using though |

QUOTE(AceCombat @ Oct 13 2007, 12:45 AM) wah....really ah bro darksythe? AFAIK, highest FSB depend on proc too. FSB wall. 520FSB might not be the highest FSB X38 can go but DaRkSyThE's proc.but i remembered the T2R can hit 6xxMhz FSB with P35 right? but after u use liao, what's da difference between X38 and P35? anyway, DaRkSyThE, no photos to share? keeping to yourself? |

QUOTE(jackanory @ Oct 18 2007, 12:09 AM) guys, simple question.. whats the best cooling solution under rm200 to cool a q6600 for running stable 24/7 at 3ghz with ambient temps of around 29-31c.. ? kinda noobish question but i had to ask here to get feedback from ppl close to home.. thx xigmatek s1283 or cm geminII will be enough. personally i prefer xigmatek thoughbtw im currently using a freezer 7 pro, just enough to run e6850 at 3.2ghz with those ambient temps. thx again |
