will try the settings you gave me tomorrow, right now running orthos at 290fsb multi 10, vcore 1.36... just want to give it a shot right now...
anyway, tried to lower the multi to 9 and it can only hit 310 fsb... hrmmmm... fsb:ram at 1:1 with stock vcore.. myb can go further if i increase vcore and have a good hsf... what is the safe temperature for 2180 nad the recommended vcore for a folding machine..? thinking of getting at least 3.2ghz with artic freezer 7 and mx2 thermal paste..

hey there.. just tried to lower the multiplier to 9,8 and 7 .. and unfortunately i can only hit fsb320 anything higher than than that wont even boot...and i did use the ram settings that you post..didnt work either.. i guess it is the limit for my rig...juz not my luck i guess.. and the worst part is, i have too suck it up and face the facts that i can never reach my goal..... YET...hahaha.. will wait till next year and get a better mobo + pros + ram if my pocket permits..
mrmm.. enough with the mumbling, thks for your help by the way..right now my pc is stable at 2.9ghz fsb 290 multi 10 vcore at bios 1.375 but at cpuz 1.36..i also dont know which one to believe...run orthos for 4 hours blend test, cpu temp max at 68 degrees..
last word....im a first time OCer...feels good to join the ring...huhuhu

i was pretty bored and too many assignment to do till ive freak out last night..!! hahaha....
lowered the multiplier to 8 and up the 1.2 NB volt to 1.4 in the bios, vcore at 1.36 and i hit 330 fsb.. didnt try any lower multiplier than that cause i was too hungry.. with the same volts, tried fsb 300 with multi 10 and it booted up! what a suprise.. run orthos but failed after 1 minute..i then set the vcore to 1.38 and run orthos again and now my temp is hitting 71 C.. what the fisH? i stop the test and revert back to 2.9 ghz setting....
going to get a better HSF soon and post the OC result.. the vcore is too high for a M0 stepping processor right? im pretty sure i got a poor batch of 2180...nevermind, maybe better luck next time

owh really? NooB here.. i did read lots of review on 2180 and most of then did not even have to increase vcore to hit 320fsb... but not me.. or is it my board? abit f-190hd, bet then again hitting 320 should not be a prob with this board IMHO

KVR667 1GBX2 (Hynix FP-Y5) is this still the recommendation? for low budget pc? wish to reach 3Ghz with stock cooling.. hope i can do it haha oh, which power supply do i require to reach 3Ghz? currently using Enermax Noisetaker 320 True Power, not enough rite? does my PS enough for default setting(1.8Ghz)? if i get like 8600gt gc?
