QUOTE(wodenus @ Nov 7 2007, 01:15 PM) M0-stepping E2140 here, I've reached 420fsb but I have to raise the vCore to 1.475 yup, mine is mo e2140 too... QUOTE(kucingfight @ Nov 7 2007, 01:18 PM) Any recent L2/M0 should overclock decently well. Pretty simple, with a good Ocing board + HSF, juz increase the FSB..violaa ic, thanks bro. one thing i notice bout this 2140 is regardless voltage, be it stock or way up to 1.375, d load temp is alot diff then idle temp (usin coretemp 0.95.4). on load it can go as high as 60'C, while on idle d temp read is just only 30 (+-3)'C. is this normal? btw, i'm runnin d chip on old skool 965p ds3 (rev 3.3) board with a pair of d9dcl, d chip cooled by katana2 used on my old rig b4, kinda outdated... |

QUOTE(kucingfight @ Nov 7 2007, 05:54 PM) yeah the load temps differs by a relatively huge margin over idle. feels great changing camp to intel rite? lol yeah d feelin is nice when figures are involved, but still i wun swear myself to intel... ya ur M0 is way better than my 1st batch L2. sweet spot @ 3ghz @ 1.3875v, 3.1ghz @ 1.45v. more than tat no b00t gigabyte 965p ds3 undervolt alot ar? |

QUOTE(bryanyeo87 @ Nov 8 2007, 12:02 AM) @ah_khoo stock voltage is reported as 1.325v. d stock cooler is still untouched, infact, i never use any stock cooler for my own rig... Wuts the voltage and is that temp stock cooler? and i have come across some M0 e2140 chips with 1.325v and 1.3125v as stock volts as reported in bios any 965p ds3 user here? wat bios should i load in order to adjust ram timings manually? i'm on f12 currently & there's no such feature at all... one more thing, when u guys mentioned certain clock at certain voltage, is d voltage referring to d load voltage shown by cpu-z, or d one set in bios? there's a big diff in my case... QUOTE(kucingfight @ Dec 10 2007, 09:44 AM) Colin? Colin who? those oem chips bro? wah... dun tempt me leh... yeah the FA is meant for High Volume manufacturing, not for warranty purposes. Think it's not feasible to run FA on every single RMAed CPUs or , you could loan ur cpu to our Ocing expert for a session of maxing our CPU out . Claw would love doing that Btw, i've got my M0 E2140 @ 3.2ghz @ 1.3v (bios) prime stable. Haven tested fully yet with lower volts...don u juz love how they clock hmm... it could be a nice chip to play with while prayin for q6600 price to drop... |

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Dec 16 2007, 12:17 AM) Many people overclock without running stability test. If it doesn't pass the stability test for a few hours at least, the system is not stable hence it's pointless. There's no point concluding that the chip does well at such speed. this is so true, you speak my words bro. If it's just as easy as increasing the FSB and booting up with a higher clock speed, passing PI, overclocking is so much easier. i think it's bout time for me to change hsf, never have a decent one as my case is limitin me due to its size... |

chill out bros... it's always healthy to have discussions.
as for c2q vs phenom thingy, let just wait until b3 from amd & x9xx series of intel to be officially launch. d current batch of phenom is no match for c2q (performance wise) as intel are more mature in term of technolgy, they've been leadin d industry like once amd did (in s939 era) since d launch of c2d. fingers crossed till then... GTG Added on December 29, 2007, 2:07 pmno dont IP35-E no good...iam using it right now...the fsb cannot reach 400 on stock voltage....try the new p35 MSI board.... GTG Added on December 29, 2007, 2:10 pmyou guyz very lucky...you proc can reach 3.2 easyly....mine stuck at 2.9 stock voltage....1.4vcore doesnt do any good for me....still cannot stable at 3.2..... 2180 sux..go for 2160 instead.... GTG QUOTE(rozz_1291 @ Dec 29 2007, 02:11 PM) for value, go for gigabyte p35-s3l like kucing. if u have all d money to burn, i would recommend asus. QUOTE(rozz_1291 @ Dec 29 2007, 09:45 PM) depend on chipset used regardless what brand it's, even cap ayam but with any hynix or micron d9 ram will do pretty decent. |
