Call Dell and see if they can add the module for u at an extra charge? It's still under warranty anyways, so u can always either pay a bit more and exchange for a new unit with the bluetooth module or ask them to add it to ur current lappy.

Ah..ok, will try that. Thanks! biggrin.gif

1520 owners, in a quiet room do u guys hear the click noise coming from the hard disk randomly ? Mine is a toshiba harddisk... checked in the toshiba site telling its normal tat the hdd is making noise... are u guys' harddisk in ur 1520 making the asme thing ?

Yup, that's what happening to my 1520 too. Basically you'll just hear the clicking sound of the hard disk randomly. At first, I thought the hard disk is having problem because my fren's TOSHIBA laptop hard disk doesnt produce this kind of sound.

I've complained to DELL about the clicking sound (my first hard disk was SEAGATE) mad.gif . DELL then replaced one for me (it was a HITACHI), however the clicking sound persists. vmad.gif

But my bro's 1420 TOSHIBA hard disk is not producing any clicking sound shocking.gif . That makes me wondering maybe it is just the 1520 which have this problem.

So, I think it is caused by the laptop sound proofing gua...guess only.
That's the kind of quality you get from such a low price laptop.... doh.gif

could be due to current interference, still remember last time my speaker (philips aurilium pairs with altec lansing) got mild buzz noise on my 6400, later i requested 3-prong adapter (with earth), the problem resolved.

hi all 1520 user.. i got a few question..

should i change my laptop to Dell 1520?

my targetted 1520 spec:
- Intel Core2Duo Proccessor T7300 (2.0 GHz, 4MB Cache, 800 MHz FSB)
- 15.4" WXGA (1280x800) Display with TrueLife
- 2GB 667mhz DDR2 SDRAM
- 160GB HDD (forgot is 7200 or not liao)
- DVD Writer
- Nvidia 8400 with 128MB
- BLuetooth inside
- built in webcam

compared to my current spec in my siggy.. i feel the good part is improve in processor, GraphicCard n HD capacity.. but the bad part is the LCD from WUXGA to WXGA.. sad.gif

i m not good in technical spec.. pls advise me on the comparison side by side with my current Dell Precision M65 smile.gif notworthy.gif thanks!

EDITED: yea.. and wat is santa rosa?

frankly speaking, i hardly see any point u want to chg ur laptop. what is ur main purpose? if for gaming, might as well keep ur current one and go for desktop (tat's what i do)
