Hehe, I manage to trade the backpack wif a 35bucks targus slingbag with my gf. And on top of that i myself is getting a normal dell nylon bag. Does the backpack cost 200 that much?

Sigh my Sales Rep gave me a order confirmation wif 6 cell batt when i order 9 batt, she said either refund or delay lappy for 1-2 weeks, i complained and later she called back saying ill receive the 6 cell for FREE biggrin.gif

ironic part is that ill be receiving the spare battery first, and next week only shall i receive my 1520 sleep.gif"

I don't really know the reason behind it, but that is what DELL told me when I called their support

Try nlite software...You can take out those parts like movie maker, classic MSNMSGR, classic window media player from the xp cd..Then u can add in all the 1520's drivers and the SATA hdd driver as well...burn all these into a blank cdr and there u go installing xp with peace of mind...but before u do so, make sure u delete off the recovery partition(which u only want xp as ur os)... what i did is, just make a partition C:, boot from xp cd, format vista and install xp...

Added on August 24, 2007, 8:43 amWhen i first get this inspiron 1520,there was chimmering sound...After i get a replacement unit due to the webcam problem, this new one longer has the sound anymore...Is that the processor? or the wireless device sound?

gomen....
Have a question to ask.

Does each purchase of Dell Inspiron 1420/1520 comes with CD/DVD for the Drivers and Windows Vista?
Saw a shop carrying Dell Inspiron 1420, i asked them about drivers as i wanted to format it to XP. They told me it doesn't come with drivers and the Vista installation. So if i do format it to XP, the Vista will be gone (or what if the lousy Windows have problem.. and i can't reformat -.-)

-.-

Is that the case? I know 6400 model comes with XP installation CD

Is there an extra in the Mouse Properties (access from Control Panel)? If there's, you can disable from there.
