i used to have a psp until recently. got robbed. i was stuck with it for as long as i remember. it has pretty good games too.
daxter, ratchet and clank, virtua tennis 3, tales of the world, loco roco, metal gear solid PO but truth is good game is hard to come by, but thats even out by the audio, video (video quality is superb, wide screen somemore), wifi, homebrew etc. you can read ebooks on psp, you can have it as universal remote controller, you can play emulators on it, and not to mention PSone games. and psp is sleek as hell to look at. all in all its a very good overall multimedia machine, just depending on what you want. the graphic is sleek to boot. and for god of war fans, god of war chains of olympus is coming out, thats one reason to get PSP now. God of war is the best game for PS2 so really, i might buy PSP just to play that game. i just got NDSL tho, still haven't explore much cause no moolah to buy ori game and no moolah to buy R4 yet so basically can't play anything yet. but been reading up on NDSL i must say the games are really nice, from the reviews and stuff. and apparently NDSL can read ebooks, watch video listen to mp3 as well as homebrews and emulator. thats a really nice incentive to have NDSL. but i don't like NDSL design, it really looks like girl's make up kit, and opening it, it has slightly a cheapo feel as compare to PSP. but the touch screen is awesome. not to mention FPS will be a breeze in NDSL. ever tried playing FPS games on ps2? it sucks 10 times with PSP. so depends on what you want. psp has little strong titles but the good ones are quite good nonetheless and its a damn sleek multimedia machine. ndsl is great for games altho its kinda low on the graphic quality side. but hey u'll never get bored of it due to the amount of games. but i'm still fuming over my lost psp and not being able to play upcoming god of war This post has been edited by sephquartz: Aug 7 2007, 11:37 AM |

Hmm... too many discussion on psp vs nds. Not many of you have both but i do. And all i can say, whichever games that have good review on each platform are good to play. I have the ds first, then the psp about 6 month later. At the moment i play more psp than the ds. Since there are more games that suits my taste on the psp, compared to ds.
best ader 2-2 tak nyesal, first thinking of buying another ds so can wifi with my wife, but after long thinking, beli ler psp (2nd jer) just to test, (and to play her favorite games - ratchet and clank. (i bought both for her birthday instead of a pink ds) . Plus a portable GTA is hard for me to resist. If not satisfied can always sell back. But i didn't and we love them both. I wish one day i can buy another of both handheld, but dgn commitment kerja dan upbring those two anak2 buas kat umah its hard for us to play together anymore like the time when we were just married. (There are free time, but for other activity No need la bashing which one is better. But its good to have both. At the moment, i play psp all the time and for ds only to update my brain age stats. My wife like to play the ds more. Its lighter to hold. And lots of games suits her. I will berebut the DS again from her when Zelda come out. At the moment we berebut finishing GTA:LC to 100% whos's first. (She tops me in racthet first). But not everybody can buy both at the same time. So just examine what ur prefference first. If can later, buy both. No regrets. Adios |

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Aug 2 2007, 09:53 AM) you cant play NDS games on the psp. you can, however, play gb,gbc,gba,psx,n64,megadrive,snes,etc games on the psp QUOTE The OE source code, Team Wildcard's 3.40 LE CFW, Dark AleX actively talking to Sony, and now... a Nintendo DS Emulator on the PSP. For all intents and purposes though, and right off the bat, we'd have to say that we can't host the download. One of the main reasons is that the emulator taps into the BIOS - thus leading to its illegality - and the second reason being its infantile stage. We hear the emulator isn't working all that perfect; running games ends up in lock ups and glitches. So right now, we'd just have to report about its existence, and for the sake of discussion, talk about the implications. One of the biggest hurdles here, of course, is that, how would a DS emulator work without the DS' biggest features: the touchscreen? The experience of getting to play the real Nintendo DS will be watered down in an emulated Nintendo DS on the PSP, but see, isn't that what emulators are defined as? We know you have a lot of questions, proclamations, and out bursts of joy. So we'll leave you with two options: 1) you may comment below, or 2) proceed to the forum thread for an in-depth discussion. However. Please bear in mind that we will not tolerate any links, information, or other details on where or how to get ROMs and illegal files. forum link: homebrew FTW |

I bought my gf 1-2 years back a GBA cos she's a freak for Mario. She's been playing that since late 80's i suppose. Can't recall. Anyway that is purely for Mario and nothing else. After that i bought her as a present a Gamecube and guess what, with Mario of course and only that. Last month I bought her a NDSL simply cos of Mario also. Guess what, now I can "pinjam" her GBA and carry it with me cos I travel to overseas often and for quite long time.
Personally I like PS. I have PS2 but PSP graphic is too good for handheld. I think it will be more suited for TV. NDSL game is more easy and relaxing. Quite fast too. Like what I said to my gf when she asked me if I want to buy and carry PSP to overseas and I said flat no. I need something lite and chose GBA instead. If I want something heavy I will stick to PS2. After sticking my hand in GBA now my hand abit gatal edi to get NDSL for myself. I don't mind the design wise eventhough it looks cute. I think for my handheld, I will need it to be cute cos I got other stuff which looks macho... Handheld=Nintendo rules for the games, simplicity etc. Console=PS..for me that is Now Wii got Mario ler..haihz..sure she will think of that soon. Cheers |

[PSP] the games graphics is awesome and able to play movie & playback music which makes the PSP even more superb. but still i've decided to sell it off.
[NDS] altho it looks uglier but don't judge by its cover. it has large games library. Enhance good gaming experience especially w/ the stylus n mic~ not to mention the large games library to choose from. sometimes its so stressful during work, what you want in the end of the day is just some simple but yet fun games to play~and this is the ONE i get. Simply put:
Serious gaming = psp Relax gaming = ndsl Look at the available games for both consoles first before deciding which to buy... |

QUOTE(300078 @ Oct 11 2007, 06:30 PM) nothing to command just read through and read through this thread over and over again! I am tottaly argree with you dude, my family member is more interest in Nintendo Wii rather the Sony PS product. while i playing PS1/2 they will said "Dunno what you playing, move here move there and the graphic make them All i know is my NDSL is not mine anymore! My sis has take over it! and every time i played it, it show battery low! My Wii has been taken over by my dad that play wii sport every night! All that is left for me is the Sony product that non of my family member seem to be interest in! So the conclusion for this is : If you are selfish on some others touching or even own ur property(console) then u better get PSP ^.^, if u happy with sharing ur happiness with ur family or frens, then Nintendo will be better choice This post has been edited by AspireAcer: Oct 11 2007, 06:58 PM |
