I'm goin to join Silverlake on May. My interviewer is Mr Lee (Project Director) - Data Warehouse.
The team leader good or not?
During the interview, he said i hv to travel to oversea very often. Which country actually? I know Silverlake has 11 branches at oversea, so normally we travel to other branch to support? or other that these 11 countries?

Now i realised that no bonus at Silverlake, if the increament is good (15%) then i think its equal to almost 2months bonus (15% increament x 12months).

I believe that Silverlake is the good place to learn the banking stuff. Honestly... i don hv experiences in this fields, i'm from engineering line (software). I also get shocked when they offer me the position.

Any tips for me???

TQ

*
BE CAREFUL TRY ASK THEM WHAT IS THE VISA THEY GIVE YOU WHEN OVERSEA.
IF IS WORKING PERMIT IS GOOD ... rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif
IF NOT YOU MAY BE A ILLEGAL WORKER THERE. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

WORK OVERSEA = TO WORK LONG HOURS ALSO
NOT EASY, THINK TWICE IF REALLY MAKE UP YOUR MIND THEN GO FOR IT ..

Hi, I have attended my second interview at silverlake about 3 weeks ago, but I have not receive any news since then. I tried to contact the person who arranged the interview through email but no news too. Anybody can tell me how long does it take for them to notify if you're selected or failed.

Thanks

Last time I also don't have enough time to complete the test. But I think they have the minimum mark to consider.
If you be based at oversea, it's RM 90 per day. except for Dubai (RM150) and RM 280 per month is entitle if you're based at client site in Malaysia. If based at office can claim OT.

OT can be at HQ or Client Site(Malaysia). I don't remember how much(so long not OT). Working environment at HQ emmmm just OK.. near One Utama... If based at client site. It's depends on the client site it's self. Parking for motorcycle (FREE). for car mostly park at One Utama(Jusco or GIANT). Inside the building also can(RM 2.00 per hour max RM20). Stress and tension depend on the workload and the team you are join in. Some time don't have things to do also can get tension. Can ask for help from senior (Most of them are helpful) Dress code Formal except on Friday.

About Silverlake pay, I think it will be more or less like this for Fresh Grads.

Starting Pay - RM2000
Adjustment upon confirmation (6 months) - +RM300 (unconfirmed)

Yearly increment (no backdate this year), depends on performance, averaging around 15%. Usually will happen around the month of April (evaluation starts on Nov/Dec)

No Bonus as of yet.

Parking Claim (Max) for Office (KPMG) - RM150

Flat Claim for Parking (Client Side), must be based in Client side > 10 days - RM280

Per Diem (based on Overseas) - RM90 per day (Dubai and Saudi different rate)

--------------------

Most of this are mentioned in previous postings.

darkcraw, you got alot of offer eh? Well, I think the best advice I can give you is, gun for the job you think you can grow most (in terms of knowledge and cashflow biggrin.gif).

Since when Silverlake ever issued working Visa? As far as I know, Dubai, Saudi, and Jakarta projects all using normal Visa to enter (hence leading to the Jakarta entry problem) biggrin.gif

He mean that if you travel overseas (like Jakarta), you allowance is fixed to RM90 per day, regardless you work overtime or not. Overtime claims are not available if you claiming allowance through per diem.

Some project sites might need you to work 6 days a week while overseas, and you still get the same rate. Some need you to work very late through the night, and you still get the same rate. Even if you're off or working on Sunday, you still get the same rate, as long as your person is "overseas", you get the flat rate of RMxx per day.

About that adjustment+increment, well my friend after first year got RM600. That is RM300 from increment, and RM300 from first year adjustment.

I believe though he is lucky, as I heard most first year ppl get only RM400 for their first year increment/adjustment, means they only get RM100 for their increment, as the First Year Adjustment is fixed to RM300 already.
