For me, yes as the calculation for base and deposit tally while spend gives slightly more than calculated.

If you buy UT from the banks, normally they'll assign you a WP or RM to deal with you inclusive of the account opening.

If they charge you 3% for equity/balanced fund in order to qualify for the extra 2%, would you still buy them given the very high volatility of current world equity market?

that's why wanna look at the sales charge of some of the unit trusts. need to buy those with minimum 2.5% sales charge. also for unit trust condition, only 2% interest for up to 20k only. personally, i think a lot of funds are lowish now, which makes sense to pick up some. provided they are good funds.

but not sure if i want to go through all the trouble for that little 2% of 20k.

oic, i'd usually go FSM to buy unit trusts. but just exploring the feasibility of this option to get some additional interest. not attractive.

not to mentioned the 2% is only valid for 12months. for 100k applicability need to buy 6k a month of UT

because i only see base and saving interest on 31st Mar
