i used to ride alone until water took away my fav place.

I think a few seconds of close proximity is safe. But then again, I ride out at 6am & Penang island has less cyclists than you guys at Selangor / KL there.

But hey, in the end, you do you, not trying to convince you or anything ya.

Question: how does one go about getting a saddle? Just go into the shop & pray for luck or do they have sample saddle for loan? Asking because I'm fully aware how saddle is one of those very subjective thing which work for some but might not work for others.

As reported by The Star, KTM Bhd is now offering trains for special charters to cater to cyclists and for other recreational activities.
Known as the Ekspres Koc Basikal (XKB), a passenger train cabin has been modified to accommodate about 60 full-sized bicycles. There are three coaches to hold the bicycles.


The cyclists will sit in a separate air-conditioned coach that accommodates 60 passengers.
By taking our train, they can explore locations further away from home safely as they will not tire themselves out too much by cycling vast distances.

Available for private charters
KTM also has several specially outfitted coaches for rent that passengers can use for sightseeing, buffets and conferences.



Passengers can even rent a special saloon coach with a full-sized bed and private bedroom.
Private charter train trips can all be arranged in various configurations based on the client’s needs and requests.


KTM added that XKB’s rental price depends on which line it would run on and the distance to be covered.

Previously some Fizik dealers (e.g.: Rodalink) had test saddles but nowadays I'm not sure.

sure got. I havent been riding for 3 weeks due to injury, but no reason not to ride since I stick to small groups 2-5 riders only
one thing I do is ride from home, ride unpopular routes like federal highway and bukit gasing, from home to federal highway already half an hour, top of bukit gasing in an hour, around that time not many people there already.
demo saddles, fizik or specialized, previously treknologi also had demo saddles from astute brand. another way is to do a bike fit with a fitter that has a saddle pressure sensor. vo2max sdn bhd bike fitter has that, can see where on the saddle you concentrate your weight and at what efforts, some people places their weight at different parts of the saddle depending on how many watts they are doing which is quite interesting, so from that data you can find out which type of saddle would suit you.

Bike fitters could also suggest a saddle that might be suitable for you. Mine recommended a few for me and I basically look around for used ones to try it. Managed to get a 2nd hand one and feel good with the recommendation

Megabike has fabric seats demo ...I find this saddle to be very comfortable. Used specialized romin, fizik aliante, arioene and pro stealth but decided fabric flat most ngam with my ass
