I dont really care about the resale value. But i am a bit worried when buying these not big names brand, worried mostly about the safety how durable are these bikes. Bcs i plan to be going up and down some really step hills, i hope i am not putting my live in danger with my low budget.

Need some guidance from pros/old timer here. Bought myself a decathlon road bike triban rc520. Decent hardware 105 groupset.

Has been clocking about 300 km so far at GCE. When climbing i see other riders can ride way faster and make me a little butthurt. But thinking maybe they have been riding longer than i am.

But when descending without pedaling they also go way faster. I had to pedal just to keep up. Is there something i miss?

I find that having bigger chain ring....and casset like 11t...not quite suitable for me. I always on the medium...almost crossing the chain ring.....can hit 50 kmh on flat .....but wind is the major demotivating factor....try to be aero but perut buncit

u can't go wrong with dura ace, fulcrum racing zero, mavic ksyrium wheels.
others may have more suggestions.

No issue la. Its not like they gonna shut down mavic. Mavic so big, got oem contracts etc, why wanna shutdown?

TL;DR?
To summarise: Mavic don’t seem to know who owns them. Regent says that they do. The French courts say that they don’t. A sub-brand of Amer Sports, Mavic’s owner from a year ago, seems to be on the hook for something, but we’re not really sure what. And, we’ve now got a headache.
If we know one thing for sure, it’s this: Mavic’s in a bit of a sticky spot.
