u using lizard skin ke? durable n comfy?
*
comfy, but if can buy new, not on sale. bought some on sale, after install the top layer started to peel off. asked some friends, happens to old stock, new usually ok, just make sure you dont stretch the tape when installing. stopped using cos of the peeling issue, but i like the feel the most. been using supacaz also, quite durable, feel also ok. currently on gel+cork tape, not bad but will try something else when this wears out.

I find that proper fitting gloves makes more of a difference than bar tape. 2XU and Rudy Project gloves fits best on my hands (skinny fingers), but they also both now discontinued their gloves sad.gif

otherwise other gloves I tried I do notice my hands can still slide inside the gloves, and its that abrasion that causes the problems.
*
yeah, for my hand the best fitting gloves tend to be the minimally padded ones, some gel ones create pressure points and fits abit off, palm moving abit. had bellweather gel gloves, specialized grail, bontrager race nonpadded ones, castelli aero non padded, the padded ones that arent bad are specialized grail. bontrager and castelli aero fits nicely but dont last long lol. i dont need much padding though, 70% of my rides are without gloves, but i dont ride as much as many of the sifu here.

Is there hill climb in Batu Arang?
*
depends on which route you take. from kuang side got climbs, the rolling hills and the left turn to batu arang 2 steep ones. if you dont take that left you will reach fruit valley.

if coming from jalan kuala selangor enter from temple through rubber estates got 1 steep short climb.

if jalan kuala selangor but enter batu arang from further up ahead, no climbs

descent is nice, as the distance goes longer than the climbing side.

but let's say if we come from batu arang instead, then it would be a long climb, albeit less steep. then after peak it's a sharp drop weh...

when i was heading up time got a group coming down. all lean down aero. and i saw a guy on foldie among the leading pack, while an amoi as the last rider.  wub.gif
*
that downhill can easily hit 50+kmh with minimal pedaling, keep momentun for small climb entering batu arang town

canyon carbon have quite strict on weight limit, which i think up to 95kg rider

but so far din hear anyone say anything bad about canyon other than the harga yahudi
*
for the specs, not yahudi. under rm15k not many other bikes can get with carbon wheels and ultegra (maybe giant can haha).

got a few friends bought canyon before.
friend #1. no complaints
friend #2. fork got defect, send pic to canyon, they posted new one and asked to damage the old one so it isnt sold off or anything
friend #3. got a canyon, then recently bought cannondale caad13, regrets it cos canyon feels better

canyon year end sale ongoing now if not mistaken. clearing aeroad stock, 2021 new aeroad should be out, currently being ridden at tour de france.

Friend #3 no testing the CAAD 13 before buying ar?  sweat.gif

Just to add;
I think this is one of the problems when buying bicycles. IINM, there aren't any readily available demo units available.
So it's a bit hard to judge how the bicycle would "feel" like for different cyclists although there's an abundance of online media test ride articles.  sweat.gif
IMHO, how professional media bicycle tester describes and cycles is different from us mere mortals (except sifus like lilredridinghood  tongue.gif )
(well, IINM, I heard the Specialized Tarmac SL7 had a test ride session for serious customers...)

It's also strange that for saddles, brands like Fizik and Specialized have readily available demo but it's not the same for bicycles.  doh.gif

aisehman... this is the problem... only after buy then can ride and feel.  mega_shok.gif
So if made the wrong choice, ham kar ling la...  cry.gif  bangwall.gif  doh.gif
Bicycles aren't easy to sell some more because of different cyclist body / height unlike motorcycles or cars.

Speaking about demo bikes...  whistling.gif

wow nice. problem is if legs not strong cannot do steep climbs and top speed, no small chainring, single chainring also not big enough to pedal downhill. last weekend did ulu yam evian, 52/36 11-28 syiok 70kmh still can pedal without spinning out. but climb suffer abit la since im weak
