have a safe ride, sounds epic. have yet I think Farhoud from SPCC did a similar ride around Cameron area recently, saw him posting on IG.

The most recent group that did it was AFG, they rode frm KL to Cameron via that nasty Sg Koyan route, dont think its Farhoud

The spectator behind one of the biggest pile-ups in Tour de France history was on Thursday fined for the incident at this year's event in which dozens of riders were injured.

A court in Brest, western France, ordered the 31-year old French woman, whose identity was withheld after she was targeted by a torrent of online abuse, to pay a fine of 1,200 euros ($1,350).
She was also told to pay one symbolic euro to the French professional cyclists association UNCP which was a plaintiff at the trial.

Prosecutors had asked for a four-month suspended jail term on the charges of endangering lives and causing unintentional injuries.

Prosecutor Solenn Briand acknowledged that she recognised "how dangerous" her conduct had been and had expressed regret.
She herself told the court that she felt ashamed at her "stupidity".

The woman, who has no criminal record, had attended the opening Tour stage on June 26 with the goal of getting a sign noticed by TV cameras.
It read "Allez, Opi-Omi," the German terms for "grandpa and granny," a nod to her German-speaking grandparents who are fans of the race.

But she stepped out too far in front of the tightly packed peloton as it sped along a narrow road toward the finish in Landerneau in western France.

German rider Tony Martin was unable to avoid bumping into her and fell, forcing dozens of riders to crash while others swerved into the crowds of onlookers.

Video footage of the collision and scenes of medics tending stunned or grimacing victims sparked outrage among fans and race organisers, especially when they realised the woman had fled the scene instead of staying to help.

She remained in hiding for four days before turning herself in to police.

Several riders had to pull out of the race, including Spain's Marc Soler, who broke both arms.

The woman's lawyer, Julien Bradmetz, said his client had "a fragile personality for many years".

Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour, adopted a conciliatory stance.
"She did something daft, she's no terrorist. We just want people to take care when they come to the Tour and remember they are there to see the champions and not to get on television," he told reporters in October.

Come ride with me...
I can pull u all the way...
Anything between 30-39km/hr... I confirm u b stronger if u can keep up all the way...

Yes mental plays an important role...
As long as the group is faster than ur avg... U will still improve if u can keep up...

Woah very nice, im sure the return route u passed Lojing highlands right? Lojing is the tricky part i heard, endless rolling hills with the last kms very steep climb up to Blue Valley? plus crossing 4 hutan simpan zones with no restaurants/shops along the way i heard flex.gif

Our initial plan was to do Simpang Pulai - Blue Valley - Lojing - Gua Musang, apparently the road from simpang pulai to blue valley is closed due to landslide. End up planning to ride starting from Tanah rata - blue valley - Lojing - Gua musang, returning the same route the next day.

Safe ride buddy! Haha my God thinking about it already giving me the goosebumps!

Yeahh it’s super mental with the never ending hills and crazy camaraderies attacking on each and every hill 😂😂.. have a fun time heading back up to tanah rata!

Not cycle alone ka

Btw just letting you know, some of the lurkers here, quietly, ride a lot in groups and are strong as hell, some are state riders.

I know those aren’t the same people you are talking about but a little bit of humility goes a long way. Riding alone averaging 30kph has nothing to shout about. For some of them, it is laughable that you guys are bragging about that type of average speed in a public forum.

A lot of us here ride alone too but we don’t dismiss others for what others are doing

I am OK to ride few persons like 2-3 per group. At least take the true load for about 30-50% for whole trip? That where I train stamina for more pressure and reach the load at higher speed for longer period.

At least few person in group, much safer in case accident happened or bicycle repair. Ride along quite danger for long route unless you are very familiar with the places or share your live coor to your family members in case emergency. For the first 7 years I ride alone 95% of the time but limited short trip only.

Waylaid by booster jab and food poisoning, all my legs have gone for holiday leaving me with crampy abs.
Still, maybe a short explore ride into DH and Bangsar if the legs feel good.

I ride solo from my house to GS and back almost 90km no hal je.
And audaxes are essentially self supported solo rides.
Just have to plan your route and minimise risk and traffic as much as possible.

If we plan the route properly then how would it be a problem? 🤔

better u try 60 70 80 90 100km distance gradually before u jump straight from 40km direct to 100km. sweat.gif

so far I solo with 48km @ 30km/h without resting and no water drinking for whole route.
Just stop for 2min due to traffic light. That how I train myself week to week.

my fren with foldie previously for 100km+ before change to rb. he should have the basic stamina as i thought.
but he exhausted badly between start from 80km till the end of 120km when riding rb. so no joke oh if 100km+ distance sweat.gif

https://www.strava.com/activities/6217361528

so safety wise, yes better to have 2-3 person in group.
