from YT benchmark, more or less the same.
as my own experience, its load as intended. didnt make a comparison on my own.
but if the game is online like some EA games, the loading slow cause of their own server, not SSD.

cool, then no point to buy the more expensive nvme version then, sata ssd is just as good

yes. from YT video, nvme usb and sata3 ssd usb diff about 1-2 second compared to internal.
nvme vs sata3 itself is 1s diff.

i almost buy 2tb nvme with usb enclosure last time. doh.gif

Guys, does anyone know why my external HDD connected to XBX sometimes stays on (I know cos the light stays on) for a few minutes (sometimes maybe even 10-20min I think) even after I shut down the XBX (not standby mode)?

With that 'behaviour' I cannot immediately power off (at power outlet) the XBX after it has shut down.

There is a setting for that. I forgot where it's located, but the setting is "When Xbox is off, turn off storage". This will make sure it's safe to unolug the hard disk after the Xbox is turned off. By default any storage devices still connected to the Xbox will remain powered on even after the Xbox is turned off.

Mine is greyed out (unticked) cos I'm already using full shut down instead of standby mode. That option is only available if I use standby mode.

This setting is just to stop the drive spinning (for mechanical drives anyway, not sure what it does for SSD)... power is actually still flowing to the USB case

The lights are always on for my 2 external drives... but it's safe to unplug them (although I don't see a reason to).

I already got phobia for external HDD still powered by USB after your switched off the device, I've gotten 2 dead 2Tb HDD "killed" by my Samsung SmartTV, losing all my "precious collection" I've collected over the years cry.gif
after a 2nd dead HDD I no longer left my precious external HDD connected permanently to any devices

Yeah my mistake. The USB port still supplies power to any connected devices, including controllers. What it does is to make sure any mounted storage devices will be properly unmounted when the Xbox is turned off. I think even my external hard disk LED is still turned on even when the Xbox is already turned off.

Maybe because the USB of the TV are low voltage? 5V0.5A somewhere that might not be enough for your HDD ?

no idea... if not enough volt then the HDD won't be able to run properly

It might run but not at optimal status, probably like very edge of hungering for more juice.

Anyone here with experience playing Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order on Series X?

I am getting framerate dips quite frequently randomly.

I am playing on Performance mode.

I had asked some friends who had played the game on PS4 and PS5 and they said the PS version did not have such issues.

yeah, getting that once a while, noticeable dips temporary, but nothing too drastic to become annoying

The dips were mostly in Zeffo.

Also, all cutscenes were out of sync by 4-5 seconds in Kashyyyk and 2-3 seconds in Dathomir. Cutscenes on other planets do not appear to be affected.

Thanks for your reply.
So i should change to turkey later.
The balance in ARS can't even transfer/convert to other currency.

edit: got notification when trying to buy in argentina store that xbox will charge in USD instead of ARS.
change to turkey store, able to buy hogwarts legacy.
