Hi all. Considering getting XSX. Anyone knows whether Japan set has any disadvantages compared to Spore (apart from needing an adapter)?

There is a seller for Japan set offering 12 months supplier warranty for both console n controller. A few other sellers for Spore set only offer 3 months or 0 month for controller. Tx in advance.

Hi all. Does anyone know whether it will cause me problem (eg acc gets blocked later by MS) if I access GPU with my PC n Xbox region set to Malaysia?

Can the sifus here advise whether the following behaviour of my XBX is normal :

1. I turn off the console by using the controller (after pressing the X button n choosing turn off console)

2. After the console goes off (the X logo on it blinks 3 times), I turn off the power switch (at the plug)

3. When I turn on the power switch (at the plug) n then turn on the controller, the console automatically turns on where the X logo keeps blinking n I can see my TV receives some signal BUT there is no picture on the TV. The X logo on the console continues to blink for about maybe 2 minutes n then stops by blinking. When that happens the X logo light goes off n there is still no picture on the TV. The controller also goes off by itself at this stage.

4. Then when I turn on the controller the console turns on immediately n there is picture on the TV n I it shows the 'home' page.

I thought during stage 3 above the console should turn on within 1 minute and with picture.

Pls advise. Tx in advance.

I'm using Standby mode. Think that's the issue. For Standby mode, need to use Full Shutdown option to properly turn off the console.

Hi guys. Can some sifus here advise on the following 2 issues :

1. if i buy a digital game (say Game X) under account A and install it in XBX, but later another user of the SAME XBX logs in using account B, would the user of account B be able to play Game X using the same XBX although Game X was installed under account A?

Reason for the question is currently I have GPU under account A but when it expires I may have to get a new subscription under a different account (in the eg, account B).

2. does anyone know whether it is "safe" to use the "Shrinkable game" option in Xbox Series X to shrink the size of games?

I thought that feature is meant for removing new-gen features like 4K which cannot be used on the console in question. So I was surprised to see that Gears 5 is a "Shrinkable game" on Series X.

As much as I would like to squeeze out more storage space, I don't wanna end up playing Gears 5 without 4K.

But the details of the Shrinkable option say 4k assets will be removed; that's why I am worried it would really remove the 4K elements of the game.

But I find it odd that such an option is available when the game is installed in XBX which can handle 4K. Maybe MS wants to give that option for those who may not have 4K TV or monitor or for those who don't mind playing without 4K elements for some reasons (e.g. lack of storage space)??

In this case (Gears 5) maybe it's 'safer' not to shrink it.

Considering buying a few discs from Amazon but there is no indication as to what region the discs are.

Am I mis-remembering : I thought turning on Xbox SX would make the TV auto-switch the input to the Xbox?

Mine doesn't do that now; so have to press the Xbox button to manually switch to it. CEC on both Xbox n TV r turned on.

Pretty sure it used to work. Tried unplugging power n HDMI cables, waiting for a few minutes and then plugging back; still doesn't work.

MS should make this feature optional in the system. ☹️

Is it Panasonic eneloop? If so, I thought the recommended duration for charging is 10 hours.

Yeah, u r right. Checked on Shopee the smart charger Panasonic BQ CC55 can charge 2 eneloop pro in 2hours.

Just bought one but the charger has a faint/soft ticking sound when charging. Does anyone, esp those who have the same model, know if that's normal? A quick check on the internet shows some people say it's normal.

My basic charger BQ-CC51 doesn't make such sound.

@awol, can I trouble you to pls check your charger again whether it makes a soft ticking sound (esp the fist 2 slots from left) by going really near the charger in a quiet place?

After 'fighting' with Panasonic Malaysia I finally received a new unit but it makes the same ticking sound like the earlier unit. I somehow find it hard to believe both units have the same / exact defect.
