Somehow it didnt work that way, MYR seems to be quite resilient while others r increasing rates.

I mainly monitor the Ringgit v sterling.

Six weeks ago the rate to sterling was 5.13. Now it is 5.43

I entirely agree. OPR will be at least 3.0% and probably 3.25% in a couple of months. That will put even the benchmark Maybank 12 month FD rate to around 3.4%. In practice, >4% FD rates will be quite easy to obtain (they are already) and ASMx will have to do better than these rates or the funds will suffer the consequences of market forces.
*
The pressure on ASMx is getting stronger by the month...

The fund manager better do something if they want to retain the $$$.... Already can be seen in SSPN... The rate is lower & no tax benefits... Double trouble 😅

ASMx matter of time before the situation get worse...

I think PNB will have to subsidise the dividends if necessary to at least match what is available on the FD markets. In practice that means the ASMx dividends have to be over 4%. Possible but not easy.

Definitely parent PNB need to pump some undertable $$$....
If not, cannot sustain the dividend...

Accumulated reserve $$$ cannot cover the dividend...

High possibilities of 3%++ for ASM & 4%++ for ASB 2 (including bonus)

Let's see...

If they can beat my expectations or not 😊

Just hope ASNB system don't crashed or suddenly being offline 😃😊😜

Last year ASB2 declared 4.3% and ASM1 4.0%. This year, the benchmark figure is considerably higher. My gut feeling is that PNB will get involved to stabilise returns at or slightly higher than tlast year's figures.

Aiyo.. he say don't need higher. I need higher so we compromise lo. We get say 4.2%.. since he "don't need" higher he gives me anything more than 4% ma.. i need ma.. get it?

It's like saying we wanna sell this item A that we both have one each. I want sell 5k he say he don't need 5k. He only need 3k. So simple la. We both sell 5k each and since he only want 3k he gives me the extra 2k lo. Both happy... Get it? 😂 Don't disturb market price ma. 😂

back to the topic. ASM really looks saddening. if really bad, I am going to take all out and put under dividend stocks.
