bitcoins USD 16k and now USD 27k... just joking.

back to the topic. ASM really looks saddening. if really bad, I am going to take all out and put under dividend stocks.

Which one which one? What entry point? tongue.gif

Dividend stock even though give dividends, the price go up and down. Asm rm1. Hmm... Worth dumping?

QUOTE(Wolves @ Jan 18 2023, 02:34 AM)
First of all i just wanted to get some coz i been wanting them for a very long time but unable to do so. Second, it is safe and simple. It is easier than going to bank and open account just for a short term (12 to 18 months) FD. FD i can easily do later if no other options but asm1 is like wwe. Other methods like reits or oversea requires monitoring and skill and knowledge plus issues of inheritance. Asm you just put in and forget and get dividen yearly and you can withdraw 2k per month easily using apps. If need more just go to branch or banks. Simplicity and convenience. It is also liquid as i don't have to wait for maturity (FD) or wait for a good market cycle to exit. So safe, easy and convenience.

I also in the opinion that currently short term they might lose it by a few % but in the long term it should do better. Asm has FD and assets. It's like a diversification all in one. During economic downturn like now, they are dependant on FD. But during economic upturn the assets will give better return. So it is not bad to accumulate now and wait for the economy to return. Worse case i can just liquidate later at 0 losses (only wasting time). That is why i am buying now when i "can" as i mentioned previously. It is very hard to buy. 😂

i am of the same opinion.

Actually no. Both is best done on the 1st of the month if this is true. If you withdraw 1st, then the previous month you get full dividen for the month. If you buy 1st of the month, the monthly minimum is the new balance (this is what the forumers here claim but i never really bother or try).
*
this one i can double confirm is true with the ASNB officer yesterday

I am trying to remain of the same opinion but anything less than 4+% for ASM1 will make that difficult.

After last weeks rate rise in UK I can now get a 12 month FD in sterling at 4.25%. I know we say it every time, but it really is important that returns stabilise in ASMx and even improve a bit this year.

Possibly being blocked for their inhouse promo bundle???
Or some others reason (dividend around the corner???)....
*
usually is blocked to cater for the increase after dividend disburesement.

they cant increase fund size without approval, so to distriute dividends, they need to hold "free units"

i would have carried in baggy pants
rm150k no problem
or some recycle bag safer.
unless so much that need briefcase,
unnecessary taking risk

i used house cheques instead. crossed the a/c payee only part and initials on a few parts, and its as good as cash and much safer

QUOTE(gedebe @ Feb 22 2023, 11:20 PM)
Now only i know bumi have their own quota even for ASM funds.  Just wonder, can Bumi deposit to ASM at anytime?
For the Non it means we no chance of getting the free gift if we can to invest in ASM funds
*
ASB1 2 3 = 100% bumiputra as in their name, BUMIPUTRA

ASB1 & 2 = rm200k limit on principal investment
ASB3 = limited by fund size

ASB2 & ASB3 always out of units due to small fund size, but try few hours or few days later sure can tembak rm1 - 30k easily

ASM1 = no quota, imopssible and not going to try. i have 0.1% portion in ASM1

ASM 2 & ASM3 = 50% quota. and always readily available. sad to say, the benefits are not fully utilized by many people

yeah, i know its unfair, but u can always convert to enjoy all these.

so what does having enlarge fund means to us, can buy more easily?

most of the increase is to accomodate fund size growth due to dividend on 31st march later

according to my cute RM, the rm300k limit is basically already approved, maybe in april or may will reflect.

anyone has access to these 2 funds, pls go target ASB2 first as ASB2 is limited, while ASB1 is very easy to get

of course, ASB2 dividend is lower than ASB1, so plase take that into consideration

next question will be: WILL BANKS OFFER RM 300K ASB FINANCING?

LOLLL

Morning, would like to ask, from the ASB portal, I see that there's this "Penukaran" function where it looks like I can transfer the fund from 1 account to another.

Would like to know, if there's any charges for using this transaction?

Also say I want to transfer from ASM3 to ASM but there's no available units in ASM at that moment, will the transaction be cancelled automatically? Or will it be parked under pending until there are units available in ASM?

Thanks in advance

[attachmentid=11443895]
*
it will just say units unavailable and u cant proceed to switch. that's all

yeah quite unbelievable, carry "suitcase of cash" to buy ASM
attracting full attention from the crowd!

something that you may and may not get to buy
why suitcase of cash?

i see people go deposit big amount in bank, something surely they can get done
also people dont carry suitcase
just back pack most of the times
