back to the topic. ASM really looks saddening. if really bad, I am going to take all out and put under dividend stocks.

First of all i just wanted to get some coz i been wanting them for a very long time but unable to do so. Second, it is safe and simple. It is easier than going to bank and open account just for a short term (12 to 18 months) FD. FD i can easily do later if no other options but asm1 is like wwe. Other methods like reits or oversea requires monitoring and skill and knowledge plus issues of inheritance. Asm you just put in and forget and get dividen yearly and you can withdraw 2k per month easily using apps. If need more just go to branch or banks. Simplicity and convenience. It is also liquid as i don't have to wait for maturity (FD) or wait for a good market cycle to exit. So safe, easy and convenience.

I also in the opinion that currently short term they might lose it by a few % but in the long term it should do better. Asm has FD and assets. It's like a diversification all in one. During economic downturn like now, they are dependant on FD. But during economic upturn the assets will give better return. So it is not bad to accumulate now and wait for the economy to return. Worse case i can just liquidate later at 0 losses (only wasting time). That is why i am buying now when i "can" as i mentioned previously. It is very hard to buy. 😂

Actually no. Both is best done on the 1st of the month if this is true. If you withdraw 1st, then the previous month you get full dividen for the month. If you buy 1st of the month, the monthly minimum is the new balance (this is what the forumers here claim but i never really bother or try).

Morning, would like to ask, from the ASB portal, I see that there's this "Penukaran" function where it looks like I can transfer the fund from 1 account to another.

Would like to know, if there's any charges for using this transaction?

Also say I want to transfer from ASM3 to ASM but there's no available units in ASM at that moment, will the transaction be cancelled automatically? Or will it be parked under pending until there are units available in ASM?

i used house cheques instead. crossed the a/c payee only part and initials on a few parts, and its as good as cash and much safer
