Guys, which Shoei model sold here that is the same as RF-1200 and RF-1400 in US?

Seemed that Shoei is using different model numbering in North America.

Thanks
*
dono why , kinda silly shoei

america = rf1200
eu = nxr
rest = z7

rf1400 is = nxr2 = updated model /latest.

so z7 is still the old one..

I've got 2 right now. Same like you, open face for nearby, and a modular for proper use. Planning to get a full face and that's it.
Never seemed to get designs though, I just get the ones that are in stock during offers sweat.gif

I have 1 fullface LS2 and 1 modular MHR helmet.

LS2 is used less and less now as i prefer the modular helmet more.. Suprisingly i feel that the modular is less windy compared to the fullface helmet 🤨

I did get one open face helmet that the shop gave for free when i bought my bike..but i haven't used it and dont plan to..

Guys,

What's up with this Ruroc helmet? I've seen a lot of memes about them on social medias, YT, and reddit. Seemed that they refused to have their helmets certified and instead of asking for their buyers to give a recommendation.

A visit to their site seemed that their helmets are mostly pre-order items and the price is rclxub.gif

ruroc has been making skiing helmets for years n couple of years ago started to make motorcycle helmets. their helmets are ECE certified.

those helmets look damn cool... unfortunately there has been quite a few complaints about the build quality and overall execution of the helmet. (dont look at big motovloggers like chase, walter etc who will give rave reviews about them coz sponsored vs youtube videos of those who actually bought the helmet)

the helmets are full CF and do have some nice features so the price kinda justifies....but i wouldnt spend that kinda money on the poor build quality.

Yeah, there was this issue with sponsored YT videos that hyped up the brand.

For that kind of money, I would opt for established brands in the market like Arai, Shoei, HJC, etc.

A good modular will feel less windy than a good full face. Full face need wide bottom opening wind will come in from around you neck. Modular have tighter neck padding but a good modular will have a better fitment in the hinge and joints where the wind can come it.

I tried this from testing schuberth c3pro vs 1st gen hjc rpha 10 a while back.

Im using this open face helmet. I wonder if an open face with a full visor in front reduces the wind noise significantly compared to this type of helmet.

Using same type of helmet. Bila i put on full face helmet pun wind noise kurang sikit Aje. These days I put on wireless buds and the wind noise reduced a lot. So yes, wind noise is best reduced by ear plugs

ExCrIpT that's a cool helmet. Is it certified for standards?

wind noise - around the neck roll, chin, and behind the neck
can test as you ride, by covering those gaps
some helmets come with earplugs, Pista GP R, but that's another level

for those wearing earbuds, if you hit on the helmet next to the earbud, will it hurt your ears? For this reason I'm more inclined to wearing soft earplugs.

LS2 Spitfire

Its ECE certified, this helmet imo looks much better but i got the plain one. was in a rush to get a helmet for the b full practical and i needed a XL size helmet, couldnt find a cheapo XL SGV helmet (or maybe i dunno where to find cuz i noobie biggrin.gif )

i like the visor and the quick release buckle but the windnoise is horrible (ard 60 km/h) compared to using a modular helmet.
Since i use this helmet for nearby taman riding only, so i guess its ok.

although not arguing with ur logic about the padding.... coz i agree with the logic but...

i think u should retest with a different full face to properly know the difference. coz ur comparing a helmet known for its quietness vs a helmet known to be noisy.

the rpha series are known to be loud as hell lol

I'm using one of those stem type earphone (like airpods) with my open face helmet. Nak sarung helmet and using it with the helmet on is no problem. But when taking off the helmet, it will be caught by the helmet and can cause pain. Can snug it in under a buff but then it'll be a bitch with face mask lagi
