Wow.. totally can’t recall I asked the same question five years ago. 😅

Let me check with the management. So, for me to explain to the management in layman’s terms, the antenna hard is out of date and need to be upgraded. Correct?
*

You explain to the management that:

- You're trying to receive digital TV broadcast by connecting the wall socket to the centralised antenna.
- You can't receive TV1 TV2 channels but you can receive TV3, 8TV and others.

the antenna hard is out of date and need to be upgraded.
Not the antenna problem, but more like they need to get a technician to check the equipment in the MATV system.
Suspect one of its equipment is faulty, or needs to be replaced.

MATV = Master Antenna Television

If I are staying in apartment or condo, u are better off by just buying a rm10 tv antenna which is very small and again can receive all channels without prob. It works much better than the antenna used in landed houses.

The management don't want to upgrades & spend $$$

This really common for most places....

not suprised. general management of apartment/condo is poor. this is reason why most of them after 10 years or more, the facilities will all become very bad. Plus a lot of ppl do not pay maintenance fee etc. as well.

anyway, as i mentioned, this is a small prob for apartment/condo user, just get any internal antenna is good enough to solve this prob. it is as cheap as rm10 only. works like charm. this is the advantage for high rise as higher levels can receive the signal better.

personally i would rather connect to this kind of internal antenna than connect to wall one, as it is 100% safe from lighting strike. tongue.gif

It is true that many building management out there tend not to prioritise in maintaining MATV systems, giving justifications like "most people nowadays prefer watch shows through Internet rather than via Astro (satellite) or terrestrial; hence it doesn't justify the cost to maintain or upgrade it when needed".
Residents that default their payment in maintenance fees would further strengthen their justification.

And not everyone is as lucky as you.
To receive digital TV broadcasts by using an indoor antenna (or even a cheap RM10 antenna) inside a condo unit really depends on your location, especially surrounding obstacles, building blocks, which floor you live in (the higher the better), the direction towards nearby TV transmitter, etc.

For those who lives in 3-5 stories low cost flats may be out of luck.

i am sure it is something to do with the antenna and/or antenna connection. not your tv. if it's tv then all channel can't get

Unfortunately, I’ve got some disappointing news about the SPOTV NOW channel.

It appears the live streaming feed has been slightly altered to “somewhat restrict” actual live tournaments from airing on MYTV Mana-Mana.

As of this writing:

• SPOTV NOW on MYTV Mana-Mana shows a recent racing event in Sepang during daylight hours, with the <SPOTV NOW “LIVE”> logo bug on screen. It’s already nighttime.

• However, the actual broadcasts on SPOTV and SPOTV2 via pay-TV providers (Astro & Unifi TV) are currently showing WTT and MotoGP live events respectively.
*
SPOTV NOW is now an ad-hoc channel.

The first-ever live event will be aired tomorrow:

If something wrong with the transmitter side, then whole Malaysia will be affected already, not just you.

Try readjust your antenna position while monitor the signal strength readings.

It's because the live event has ended. It'll resurface in the TV guide once the new live event commences broadcasting.

In other words, SPOTV NOW is now an ad-hoc channel.

Funny.

I genuinely expected Tonton to carry the live BYON 5 boxing event on their streaming platform, only to find out they're pushing us to use some other app, Vidio.

user posted image

Because clearly what every viewer wants is another app and another login just to watch one event. This boxing event is a PPV anyway at RM16 via https://vidio.com.

Yep, it continues to broadcast as of this writing. In fact, regional pay-TV operators such as StarHub in Singapore were not directly notified about SEA Today's shutdown.
