Last night...is my izzi nightmare. It keep DC within 3 to 4 minutes. The line was not droped.. just time out for 5 to 6 seconds...(ping to google and izzi.com.my...same)(enough to kill my online game). I fedup and try to find solution in the net.

Funny thing is... one of the solution, blame on my Windows XP "pirate edition" socket 5 (outdated). In the confuse state...I think maybe kot. Then under confuse and angry influence, I made stupid move. Update my windows xp...dumb me..of course can't + got the WGA nagged screen.

So, with basic knowledge about new TCP-IP in vista, i decide to reformat my PC, install Vista +izzi driver for vista etc....VIOLA...no more time out...Woot.

Too good to be true. However, I am not sure either it is vista better socket5, better TCP IP or simply Izzi fix that problem.

Just sharing XD

(download speed improve a bit, about 100 kbps... midnight)

Does iZZi throttle down torrent downloads? I'm getting fedup these past couple of days. Signal strength is 100% and the first couple of days after I sign up, I was getting about 80-100kbps downloads.

But these past few days, 20-30kbps only. And I don't think it's the torrent itself coz there are lots of seeders. Heck, when I had my PC at my mum's hse to share my sister's 512k Streamyx, my download was ard 50-60kbps. Now a 1MB package, I'm getting 20-30kpbs? What gives?

I'm staying in Prima Midah Heights Condo near Taman Midah. Anyone staying here but getting good download speeds for torrents?

FYI

http://zeo.unic.net.my/notes/should-i-swit...axis-broadband/

I saw some complains on maxis also. Should we conclude that most wireless having weak signal at most places? And yes, for those having no problem, they will not appear on this kind of forum at all.

hm.... I just did a speed test on my company Download and Upload speed. It gives 5.4M and 4.2M....

You pay what you get.

iZZi now is too much already. Too greedy !!! vmad.gif

They want too much customer until even their server can't handle it. No need to mention about their gateway or internet back bone.

Below is the screenshot. I do not alter anything, just plain print screen. You can see, that i am struggling to install windows live messenger. Can't play online gaming due to extreme lag latency.

3000+ ms latency...to their own server. That ping is ping -t izzi.com.my

Stop telling me base on best effort basis. 50% (most of the time) of the advertise speed already consider cheat customer. Super lag latency some more...it start happen last 2 days.

I really want to know their explaintion. Hay...come on la...you ask us to pay RM 1300 for this kind of service? CRAP..UBER CRAP.

Crazy or not..I dont know. Dont tell me to print screen speedtest....if this kind of crappy connection you give me. See, the signal is 100%. How to speed test if keep time out or 3s latency..

Funny is... before Kelana Jaya road show (held at Giant Kelana Jaya), my izzi experience very breeze. Check out my review on izzi when i first get this crap...before kelana jaya road show
BOOOOOO...org tamak selalu rugi...but now...izzi yang tamak...I yang rugi... damn.

I just signed up and during demo everything seems fine and fast..
but when i try it at home.... its terrible...
The signal is very unstable... sometimes 60% sometimes 40% sometimes 90%..
The salesman told me the reception can be up to max if face the device towards window... i try and tyr and finally tired of trying... its not working..
I stay near PGRM and the nearest tower is located at Jaya Jusco Maluri
which is less then 1km distance.... how come the signal so bad????!!
and the speed... slower then dial up connection!!
done the speed test using their izzi speed test and here are the results..

Sat, 17 Nov 2007 at 05:01:08 PM

Last Result:
Download Speed: 301 kbps (37.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 145 kbps (18.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Sat, 17 Nov 2007 at 06:11:26 PM

Last Result:
Download Speed: 337 kbps (42.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 100 kbps (12.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

Im not an expert n i dunno how to interpret the kbs, KB/sec things but i knew it is slow from the seconds and minutes i got to wait d/l files and to open a new website... sigh..

I have sent my complain thru online and waiting for them to call me up.. if no feedback, Mon will call to their customer care!!

Feel cheated by izzi.... sien....

I'm experiencing the same thing as well. Downloads seem to be pausing once every few seconds. I am also suspecting that they are throttling HTTP/FTP downloads. Previously I could get a decent speed with 8 simultaneous connections for one file, now I need 16.

Looks like the service is starting to go downhill fast. Lately, I haven't seen many (or any) positive things to say about Izzi's service in this thread, everyone is complaining about high latency, slow speeds, patchy service, etc.

I suggest to people that are experiencing problems to write to the MCMC to get them to investigate. Use the guidelines here.

hi guys i've been reading a lot of negative stuff about izzi lately. I've been using izzi for more than a month now. I was using vista previously but now i've switch back to xp due to some of my other software problem so i got to reinstall tweakmaster to tune my izzi. before i try tweakmaster the speed is very inconsistent, hardly reach 1mb peak but after done some testing with tweakmaster, these are what i'm getting for the time being. Maybe those experience slow speed could give it a try.

btw, there are 5 optimization options where you have to try each of them to check which works for you. i've tried #4 and it works so far..cheers

Added on November 18, 2007, 11:12 amhere is another screen shot me opening metacafe pro downloading videos from metacafe site. download vids at 113kb/s peak.
