This is not a heavy drama but a rather fast paced action show. While Money Heist now self parodying itself with stupid twist, it's nice to watch another Spanish action show that has the same potential of the early Money Heist. Female protagonist recruited by Nazi hunters and the action kicks into high gear at episode 3. Easy 6 episodes to binge.

First time diving deep into a Mike Flanagan show. To my surprise this is much better than I would hope for. I like the idea of distorting a very cliche horror being that recast or repurpose as something entirely new. When the show reveal what the angel actually is, sign me up. Binge this in one sitting.

Why it's trending?

Even hideo Kojima, Pedro pascal and Jurgen Klopp mentioned it

Do you like the early Stephen King novels? This is highly reminiscent of those. Beside the horror element, the slow burn also gave us poignant human drama you can relate to. I won't spoil what the monster is but it will hook you when you see where the story going.

Always a fan of GITS:SAC series, Arise was a half effort to reboot with a loli Major that recycling story beats of the old series. 2045 has an adequate story premise that reminded me of the first 2 seasons. A sprawling conspiracy that steep in nuance narration and bringing a rather enjoyable team dynamic of section 9. However, the curse of Netflix's bad anime production is holding this new iteration back. There's articles about Netflix lowballing animation studios with ridiculously terrible budget that's evidently shows in the end product. It took me more than 5 months to complete this show simply because of the presentation and the hook only comes around episode 4. Once you found out the main mystery to solve, the cyberpunk element and the team quickly lures you into the rabbit hole.

Don't sit on this. While everyone is hyping Squid Game which I have no intention of watching simply because of my disdain of the Akagi manga influence. My Name is Nikita meets Infernal Affair. You know Koreans do know how to make kickass vengeance stories. The heroine is super badass and you just can't take your eyes away from her. So far two episodes in, very good.

Is this really worth the time to watch?

If 1 hour of testing water is too much to ask from you then might as well look elsewhere la! Only yourself can decide whether you like or don't like the show. End of story.

It's a modern classic. Although Samurai Champloo not as popular as Cowboy Bebop, the two best anime series ever done by Shinichirō Watanabe.

It's aiming at the Rick and Morty crowd. However it's more in line with Futurama. It's not as sophisticated as R&M. Straightforward plotlines and easy to spot the punchlines. Still watchable and wish they would hit harder with the social commentary.

Narcos Mexico Season 3 still ok but not as gripping as the previous seasons. Mainly there is less empire building in the Amado Carrillo overarching arc. Majority of the time spend on chaotic fighting amongst the smaller cartels. The past kingpins is all about holding on to the throne while this season is about hustling an exit strategy before all the cards came down. It's kinda painting Amado as Keyser Soze running things deep in the background and not so much of making bold killer moves.

I know nothing about League of Legends. Watch this mainly because of the art style. It's more than an ok watch, the story a little generic but the eye candy and action sequences enough to keep watching. The steampunk setting reminded me a lot of the Dishonored game. Think they are releasing few episodes weekly. It's well made.

Arcane Act 2 is out. This show has no reason to be this good. It's not some throwaway game cinematic but proper storyline build-up. Jinx eff-up relationship with Silco is very intriguing to watch. Can't wait for Act 3.

Guess Arcane has become this juggernaut animation show on Netflix. Didn't expect the season to wrap things up nicely, especially with so many moving characters and plot threads. It's a little rush to the ending and an obligation to depict gaming moments of Vi and Jayce storming Silco's place. Other than that, everything pretty much on point, every character were given time to grow and very well flesh out. They did a very good job depicting Jinx, is more than a clone of Harley Quinn. Her trauma that leads her to be full villain was very nuanced and believable. Vi is the least interesting of the two sisters and her romance with Kaitlyn really rush. Silco also very well done. Guess Riot Games could start a movie making business if Netflix greenlight season 2 or an Arcane movie.

Netflix owns Millarverse. They have access to sizable library of Mark Millar books. He is a successful comic book writer that gave us Kick-ass and Kingsman to silver screen in the early 2000. He is well known for marrying Hollywood blockbuster aesthetic into superhero context. In a way he gave birth to MCU that based on his run of The Ultimates series. Think Netflix also doing Magic of Order, Millar take on Harry Porter with edgier protagonist laced with sex and violence. Do hope someone able to do Nemesis, what if Batman is the biggest villain of it all.

Gave up on Cowboy Bebop after episode 3. Not a fan how they decide do the adaptation. It came across like those cheap live anime adaptation that looks amateurish. Biggest problem is they forcefully made Spike's past as the overarching narrative. In the anime, his past vaguely touched upon and only came into play at the end of the series. The anime is very good at showing the Bebop crew basically are running away from their past and how it shaped them what they are. Here the approach is let's show you the past without proper setting up why you need to care. Another problem is stretching 20 plus minutes runtime into 40ish minutes. So it's draggy aimlessly a fair bit.

Was surprised the way they adapt Supercrooks. Two-thirds of the season are stories not from the comic book run. The last few episodes is exactly what in the original series. They really took their time to set-up who's who and explored their backgrounds. Decent with enough lovable characters to follow. Also very surprised to see it being linked to Jupiter's Legacy. Just maybe they will make an anime special cause the crazy shit happens on the second half of Utopian family drama.

Better than the show. Some GOT Red Wedding shit happens to Utopia. It's a waste they canned it.

Got into 4 episodes of The Witcher S2. So far it's a better show than the first one. Ciri is coming together on her own. Definitely more than just a plot device. Well Geralt is Geralt, there's no show without him. As for Vessemir, still on the fence cause his significance felt underwhelming. Dunno maybe he will plays a more important role in moving the story forward. He does have an integral presence in the game as I remembered. Pacing issues still persist but not as jarring as the first season's migraine inducing time jumps. Looking forward to complete this season.
