QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Dec 20 2021, 03:17 PM) I always find that Yennefer looks a bit tad young in the show. Maybe the actress has a baby face. I don't believe the game's character design is definitive. The game also did their own reinterpretation from source material. Don't foresee they will swap actress for Ciri. It's an adaptation, it need to fit within the inner workings of a TV show production. Budget, casting, medium format and technology availability to realise the fantasy setting. I'm not a purist blow-hard for kicking a storm if they deviate from original source.I wonder if they will change another actress for Ciri in the future when she is grown up? Or they will just use the same actress since she will also grow up together as well. Ciri in the game is cool though, her character design is |

Get to know about this show via a podcast. Pretty awesome, you can't stop after episode 2. It has very similar premise to Mare of Easttown. The murder mystery here much more darker and potent. Mare of Easttown solely rely on Kate Winslet to carry the show. This Danish thriller has better storyline and very intriguing serial killer/s. No harm also if you track down The Killing, the show runner's previous excellent show that starred Joel Kinnaman. |

QUOTE(cooldude17 @ Jan 8 2022, 02:52 PM) I watched this series after your good review. After episode 2 I'm totally hooked. At first I'm also guessing the killer should be Rosa colleague but it was not the case. Look for Forbrydelsen at you know where la! A little old but it's the same show runner. AMC did a US version that propelled Joel Kinnaman to Hollywood stud. Think The Killing still on Netflix if I'm not mistaken.I watched the series at one go, the suspense was really good. |

This is not your usual found footage horror. It's much slower and keen on fleshing out the 2 lead characters. It kept you guessing what the hell is going on. At times it felt like a dark sci-fi than your usual jumpscare galore. Kinda like Cronenberg art house horror. Only 2 episodes in, will try to see what the actual mystery about. It has respectable score on Metacritic. This post has been edited by 6so: Jan 17 2022, 09:54 AM |

Archive 81 is a show that rewards your patience. The slow and deliberate pace keep baiting you from episode 1 to 6. You can't help but need to know where all this going. Occults, exorcism, unexplainable doppelganger, dimensional gateway, psychological mindf**k, etc...Then the lightbulb moment where all things are connected. This is a good blending of horror with sci-fi. Majority of the chekhov's guns throughout the show are answered. Don't watch this expecting James Wan commercial horror but nuanced complex narrative. Season 2 most likely will happen given the finale cliffhanger.

I know I'm really late into Ozark. Boy what a show! This is the closest thing to Breaking Bad and yet doing enough new things with the fomula. Remember Skylar adamant to be involved in Walter White business, Ozark have the Byrd couple. They are narcissistic manipulators in achieving their goals. You still gets to see humanity perseverance in BB. Here it's just ruthless wheeling dealing with all the drug cartels and FBI. Even the Byrd young children complicit in running the high stake money laundering empire. Ruth Langsmore is the female version of BB's Jessie. She is highly watchable and you can't look away from her progression in the show. Can't wait Season 4 part 2.

This comedy is stupid with double capital O. Each episode will feature a celebrity to solve a murder. The thing is no script given to the celebrity and they have to improvise their way out of the scene, Will Arnett keep throwing curveball at them. Don't bother with what the murder is, the joy and fun is when they broke character whether guests or the cast members. Don't binge the 6 episodes, the format is very repetitive but when the comedy gold lands its stupidly hilarious. Good distractions to waste time on. |

Ruth of Ozark and Amy of Veep. Two actress I'm into. Hope this is promising. Remember Netflix pay serious money to buy out Shonda Rhimes exclusivity. |

Vikings:Valhalla is bingeable. The pace is brisk and always moving forward with plot development. Remember watching one or two seasons of the original but somehow lose interest when other more prominent shows came. The Vikings invading England again because the king ordered a red wedding event on Viking settlement in England. The politicking of Viking Christians, traditional Viking and the English royalty drove majority of the conflict. 3 episodes in and for sure will tapau the entire season by tomorrow. Netflix bought 24 episodes so 2 more seasons will come.

Ronny new comedy special felt a little underwhelming when compared to his last one. The jokes a little more hit and miss. It doesn't have an overarching arc or something deep to say. His commentary on the anti-SJW Neanderthals pretty funny. Yeah he talk shit on them a fair bit but after awhile it can gets preachy. Still looking forward to his next special. Jimmy Carr still the GOAT in making offensive stand-up while Frankie Boyle the savage untouchable. |

QUOTE(gr3asysnek @ Apr 11 2022, 02:58 PM) I just watched Vikings made by Netflix. It somehow have quite a similar script as the one made earlier by History channel. But, i finished watching it too..😁 It's from the same showrunner as the old Viking show. After this batch of characters, don't think they able to continue cause the viking age ended with King Harald if to go with historical timeline. Then again these three historical character Harald, Leif and Freydis don't actually appears in the same timeline historically. |

A decent spy vs spy action. No point questioning the ridiculous premise and just go along with the ride. A demoted prosecutor assigned to investigate a SK operation in China. There he see things are lawless with the spying. The good old killing indiscriminately and kidnapping of targets. Amidst all the chaos it seems a hidden hand manipulating in the shadows. Will the prosecutor hinder or became part of the spy network. |

Netflix crash and burn on stock market. Now it's valued a third of what they used to be. I think they've peaked at acquiring subscriptions. So buckle up, guess you need to get more than one streaming platform in the near future. GravityFi3ld liked this post
