Hello guys, do you guys have any problem during GMS installation process? I saw from YouTube that I have to download the GMS file. Before that I have to delete the Backup File from the setting. After extracted the downloaded file, I tried to install the Backup file which was included in the Zip and it mentioned installation failed. May I know how you guys deal with this problem if one of you has met this problem before? Is it because of the latest Firmware? Should I downgrade my firmware? Current Firmware: 10.1.0.236.

those who already login into Google account can still use gms so far

Looks like since the 13th of September no one is being able to log into their Google accounts from banned Huawei devices (except Mediapad M6 users, apparently).

It seems Google is really serious about shutting down any method for GMS sideload for real.
This isn't about China phone come without GApps or some unofficial custom rom flashing.
Keep your activated GMS devices safely. Any RMA or Reset would make you say GMS a good bye2.

*things might be different later if US magically open trade with Huawei again.

What's the big deal with GMS actually? Other than some apps easier to download via play store...

For certain apps, there is totally no alternative without GMS - the app is not available in their App Gallery and won't work when installed from other sources. So for those with crucial apps like that, there really is no way except to have GMS.
