I cannot use the Google map app due to inability of GMS. I am shifting to Baidu map and it's working flawlessly despite some chinese wording.
*
Google Map works fine on my P40 with HMS, just that I couldn't login, you can search for it on Petal Search.

As far as I've experienced, Baidu Map isn't designed well to be used outside China, even HERE Map works better. hmm.gif

None of the Huawei phones ie Mate 30 Pro is waterproof. Only water resistant for Mate 30 Pro. No warranty cover if spoiled.

It's water resistant. Not waterproof. You can use it the pool but not bring it swimming.

Was told it wouldn't work but never tried, hahaha...

Have you tried it?

Waze is working as usual, just install from petal search.
Citibank app also working (phone clone from existing handset).

Probably sufficient for daily life without GMS now. laugh.gif

Great, will install and try it over the weekend smile.gif

But yes, for now, I'm not missing GMS that much, in fact, it could be a blessing in disguise, many Google apps that I don't use that come as standard and can't be uninstalled in other Android phones are not in the Mate 30 Pro, hahaha..

Another benefit about not having GMS is there is no Google Play Services running in the background and sucking up juice overnight... 8 hours on standby, zero battery drain

Wah nice find, so it's the GP services that is draining my battery (apart from AOD). Maybe I can freeze GPS at night hahaha

Yeah, for every Android phone I've owned, biggest culprit of overnight drain is Play Services and sometimes FB services. So this is good!

And it's consistent, three days already and the results are the same 0% to 1% every night over 7-8 hours. thumbup.gif
