Just curious, what apps did you guys use for navigation since they dont use gms anymore?

Just visited a Huawei Service Centre and compared my phone to three other phones. As suspected, it's the same, the line at the edge is indeed light shifting due to the curves. Use dark mode, slap a black wallpaper and problem solved.

As for the warranty, the customer service explained that is the system warranty of when the phone is registered by the dealership. She showed me her computer screen - my phone was manufactured in Jan 2020, shipped in Feb 2020, and warranty in system showed not registered. She said it'll take about a week for it to be updated, after which it will reflect from the date the phone was first turned on. It's how their backend system works, and she apologized for the confusion. I was impressed by her professionalism (and she looks kinda pretty too), so all is forgiven, hahahaha

So I think in your case bro, the customer service agent could be a newbie or lacked the necessary training.

For me I'm not worried because there is a receipt. Whether its registered or not, they would have to honour the warranty from the first day of purchase.

Nope.... but it depends. For me I never had to do it again. Some did complain some features didnt work after update though. So they had to redo everything together again.

It is very common for manufacturer to put the default date of warranty to manufacturing date. Sorta like the industry practice. Please read the following clause from Asus:

This warranty applies for the period defined on the label sticker at the back of the Product (“Warranty
Period”). For example: 24M means 24 months, and 36M means 36 months from the date the Product
was first purchased by an end-customer (“Date Of Purchase”). If proof of purchase cannot be provided,
the manufacture date as recorded by ASUS will be deemed to be the start of Warranty Period.

Yes, during my purchase mate 20x at 3rd party physical shop, they already help me put sim card and email into phone and tell me that i just need to wait for 2-3 days before the warranty is activated. Surprising, it already activate at night.

So, chill out. It takes a bit of time for the server to fixed the warranty for you. It will be a different story if you buy today, next week you still haven't received the warranty.

I went to a a popular chain store to check out the warranty status of new units in sealed box and the warranty status is similar with expected warranty expiration date when they're still in the shelves, unsold.
