I think I've read somewhere saying that it's 16GB. Not sure though. Can anyone confirm this?

The Cube C30 is a tiny MP3 player, as you can see from these photos, which is primarily dedicated to audio with a compatibility with MP3, WMA, APE and Flac, BBE effects and a capacity of 32GB expandable via a microSD slot. Expect to pay a price around $100.

source <--- That's what this site claims anyway. I'd stay safe and limit it a 16gb microSD. For myself, I use my C30 4gb with a 8gb microSD and I find 12gb is plenty enough even for flacs. Since it can't support 96khz/24bit files I would say you can easily fit in 12 flac albums estimating each flac album at 1gb. Of course there are lots of flac albums that goes for far less than 1gb.

Question.... why do you need a 32gb TF for use with the C30? Or maybe you wanna watch some movies on it's 3 line screen? hmm.gif

Of course won't go up to 23GB. But if possible, I would try to fit it with 16GB. And thank you with your info

Wasn't aware the C30 has video playback. Personally, 32GB is not enough storage for my selection of MP3 songs.

Of course it doesn't have video playback. tongue.gif

Just curious, how long will it take approx to get through your entire selection of mp3 song, more than 24hours non-stop? Taking 1gb for an average album I think it's not feasible to listen to 32gb(albums) of songs at any one sitting.

The most I ever listen to is 5, maybe 6 albums straight in a day, on special occasions when I can find the time to actually listen that long.

I used the Gumstick once for that. And with the PL50's, their soft eartips, and its warm sound sig made that feat comfortably possible. biggrin.gif

True that I don't listen to music 24hrs in one go, but having my entire collection of songs (or most of it) in my portable player saves me the hassle of transferring songs from my PC to my player every now and then. It also makes creating playlists on the go from various songs that much easier.

Depends on what your friend would love best. Usabilty? Design? Battery life? Sound quality? smile.gif

Oh and do consider the iPod shuffle 4th gen too, looks great as a gift as well. smile.gif you may be able to get them cheap on garage sales.

Was thinking iPod shuffle but i would put it as the last choice.

Guess sound quality and usability would be important for him, any recommendation? notworthy.gif

I'd say Sansa Clip+.
Just because it has better navigation, and sound quality ain't bad either.

hi which mp3 to recommend me? i been to Sony klcc and saw Sony mp3 B series rmn 160, which i fell in love coz simplicity of the design like pen drive. cheap also.

going to listen in LRT or on bike on the way to work (very windy on bike) and listening while doing work -

listen to iron maiden, static x, slipknot, melodic metal, metal, 90's 80's mariah carey, taylor swift, zooey deschanel song, celine dion, ballad, mandy moore, romantic song etc ...

my budget is rm 250 - 300 above just slightly total together with sony headphone rm 80.

but it support just mp3 and wma ... so few format.... sad.gif

then the E series have more format but screen size too small 2"

but when people recomend sansa clip + or samsung YP-P3 i think yp is better but slightly more expensive and have more feature and support more format.

yesterday gone to lowyat ask all shop around no people selling samsung or sansa/sandisk...

which you recommend and where to get samsung mp3 player, near lrt ? icon_question.gif

is sansa really good coz sansa site keep saying "amazing sound quality"

I've owned a Fuze+ and it's basically the same as the Clip+, only with a screen. It's best paired with a warm IEM. They sound amazing for what they are, make no mistake. Hard to find other DAPs that are that small and that cheap that can sound like them. Doesn't have any worthwhile enhancements like the Sony though, but IINM it can be rockboxed(look it up with Google).

Another one I would suggest is a Cube C30. It's a Hippo Gumstick equivalent but is cheaper. Has a 4GB internal memory, BBE enhancements and a quoted 20hr battery life. It's not as cool as the Sony and the Sansa, but it's sound quality is said to be above them. I'm getting one myself as an ultra portable rig to replace my Gumstick. There's a forumer doing a bulk on it.

Guys, can give some comment on which is better?
Sony NW-S746 / Hippo Gumstick

I saw a forumer selling sony S746 for RM300 which about the same with gumstick. So which will be suiting me or pair with my AKG K77?

For RM300 you should take the Cowon iAudio E2 4GB @ RM275. When it comes to SQ the BBE will blow away the competition in that price range.
