T20 i nvr audit b4 n not interest to audit..maybe i bias on creative speaker coz the impression for me is for gaming purpose not for music..haha...

It is all based on ur own taste.If u like to have some bass boost,get a 2.1 speaker instead of 2.0.

I need a pair of 5.1 channel speakers for movies and songs.
I am using a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card.
My budget is below RM500.

I have a personal preference of good clarity and a medium level of bass. No need so strong bass but preferably tight. Pls help to suggest thanks. :thanks:

Added on December 8, 2008, 5:07 pmI just use my laptop's onboard conexant soundcard.This speaker oredi perform very good even i using it on onboard soundcard,you can buy the speaker first,then if u feel there is the need for u to get a soundcard,then only u go for it.I would recomend u Sri Computer if u wan to buy,i get mine at RM390.You can ask the best price from the promoter.

since ur budget is RM500...y dun top up till RM6xx get DA5000??? better than R501 MKII...

AL currently don even have good 5.1 speaker, the old legendary model already phase out & for Creative u need to pay higher price to get a better 5.1 speaker.

so will external sound card like ASUS XONAR U1
or DAC like TIEN YUN will help to increase its SQ?

Then i don't need to buy the internal sound card for my desktop already

i oso wish to know these sound card and Dac will give how big the improvement of S330.But i no $$ to buy I still recomend u get the speaker first then only decide about the sc and DAC. Buy a good sc for ur desktop is worth,but for laptop is not that worth coz usb sound card quite expensive and the sound quality cant be match with PCI soundcard for desktop.(those cheap X-FI in garage sales)

are u using the speaker with laptop or PC? if laptop then i guess tianyun zero dac would improve the sound of s330 in musical aspect. i havent tried asus xonar before. but i have zero dac and i pair it with aego M. it satisfy all my needs.

I agree with u bout the value for money. Since there are so many demands for edifier there must be some reason. Now i see.

Urm, i cant fork out RM600++. Since a good 5.1 setup will be quite costly, i might go for 2.1 setup now. But previously there were 2 guy selling open box condition G500 for RM500 in garage sales. I know how to get to their supplier but ended up didn't cuz the warranty provided was only a month.

I personally dislike AL and yea Creative 5.1 system is good. But the retail price i can't afford.

Those extremely cheap Creative speaker is nt open box actually,they are all ''factory rejected'' due to cosmetic problem,these stock usually only given 1 month warranty from seller.If u feel the risk is worth to take,then u may go for it.My fren last time bought a Creative i trigue 3300 at RM140,retail price is RM3xx.So far so good,but got one time the speaker suddently death,then another day it work again So if can ,try not to get these speaker la,plus the sound quality from Creative is oso not that good.(humming bass).

If u wan to buy 2.1 system,at RM400 u can consider the Edifier S330,it produce excellent satelites performance with well controlled bass at this price range.But if u are basshead,u may go for Kliscph promedia GMX2.1 at RM399.

M3300 is for those who on tight budget. at RM230 +/-.

For RM700,S530D is a good choice (if u really need the power),else S330 will be a very good choice considered the price /performance ratio.
