Just received my t495 yesterday. Took about two weeks to arrive (I thought one month,)

Took one with ryzen5 upgrade. Came to about rm2500.

Loving it so far!

If only they offer the T495s over here. I saw they they actually sold them in Singapore. But sadly not here in Malaysia.

X395 can hold more than 8-9 hours
T495 can last for 6-7 hours.

Tonight 12am or next morning has Citibank card 45% discount for selected models only, Iโ€™m not sure about T495 or X395 doing the same offering again.

I would say real life use for T495 is closer to 5 hours after having used it. But no issue as the 65W charger charger the laptop really fast. Like 1 hour and the battery is almost fully charged.

Thanks TS, never knew theres a huge Thinkpad fan base here. I couldnt find any like minded people to be a fan of Thinkpads, but now I do.  biggrin.gif

Btw, you guys are aware that Lenovo is launching the updated comet lake therefore the drastic price reductions right?  innocent.gif
*
No, they donโ€™t.

You see they even dare to markup 99 on Y530 (last gen) and give it a discount and call it a sale, TOPKEK.

My previous build on T495, using NIGHT = RM3056
Tried other code just now for same configuration (Inc 3years warranty add on)
MERDEKA = RM3763.95
CITI45 = RM3216.65
So as for T495, NIGHT is better but it is unavailable currently.

nice sharing!

sayyid_muammar better you maxed the specs as you can see the price difference isn't much.

Well I haven't used a laptop for quite some time. More of a desktop user. But now for my office I need something that's small as there's not much space to put a desktop.

Bought a dell inspiron in July but the display was so poor that I can't stand using even just for Web browser work. It was a ryzen 3, 4gb ram 1tb hdd, and some display probably inherited from the 2000s. hurts my eye when looking at it. Very lag even just for Web browsing.. Had it returned for refund. Then wen laptop-less and started to look around for other options.

Saw Benefon's thread at /k, and thought hey why I don't I try this. Used a coupon (forgot which one) but after adding ryzen 5 and the 250 nits display, came to about rm2500 (I checked today the same spec will come to around rm3400)

Can't be happier with my purchase. My first time owning a computer with ssd. My first Lenovo product as well. I'm really loving it.

In retrospect, I should have just added more RAM probably to 16gb and the display to multi touch. Maybe I didn't want to over commit due to just start new business.

My ratings for my T495:
1. Ergonomics 7/10: touchpad responsive, not the best keyboard I've tried on. maybe need some getting used to
2. Display 8/10. on the IPS wit 250 nits option, looks like something from the yesteryear but not to bad. at least it doesn't hurt my eyes.
3. Performance 10/10: for what I need to use for, I give this full marks.
4. Value for money 10/10. No further comments.

My pleasure! I'm satisfied with my build, even though it's just 256gb and 300nits,but I'm happier than enough! Just hope to receive it on time.

Just curious. Possible to add more ram myself? Or need to send to lenovo to open it to upgrade. Warranty concerns.

Yeah, whatever you can afford, try to max it. For me personally I prefer as much RAM. My mistake when I bought last time was I went with 16GB RAM when the 32GB would have only set me back rm200 more.

Even if you buy outside from third party, the 16GB RAM sticks cost RM300. So you can see that you actually save by configuring with Lenovo.

Gen 1 no longer available, just look on Gen 2.
Both machines are the same, comes with 2 ram slot and 2 PCIe slot.
Only the X1 extreme come with GeForce graphic while to P1 for workstation configuration with Quadro graphics
