Just received my t495 yesterday. Took about two weeks to arrive (I thought one month,)

Took one with ryzen5 upgrade. Came to about rm2500.

Loving it so far!

Well I haven't used a laptop for quite some time. More of a desktop user. But now for my office I need something that's small as there's not much space to put a desktop.

Bought a dell inspiron in July but the display was so poor that I can't stand using even just for Web browser work. It was a ryzen 3, 4gb ram 1tb hdd, and some display probably inherited from the 2000s. hurts my eye when looking at it. Very lag even just for Web browsing.. Had it returned for refund. Then wen laptop-less and started to look around for other options.

Saw Benefon's thread at /k, and thought hey why I don't I try this. Used a coupon (forgot which one) but after adding ryzen 5 and the 250 nits display, came to about rm2500 (I checked today the same spec will come to around rm3400)

Can't be happier with my purchase. My first time owning a computer with ssd. My first Lenovo product as well. I'm really loving it.

In retrospect, I should have just added more RAM probably to 16gb and the display to multi touch. Maybe I didn't want to over commit due to just start new business.

My ratings for my T495:
1. Ergonomics 7/10: touchpad responsive, not the best keyboard I've tried on. maybe need some getting used to
2. Display 8/10. on the IPS wit 250 nits option, looks like something from the yesteryear but not to bad. at least it doesn't hurt my eyes.
3. Performance 10/10: for what I need to use for, I give this full marks.
4. Value for money 10/10. No further comments.

Just curious. Possible to add more ram myself? Or need to send to lenovo to open it to upgrade. Warranty concerns.

where do we send for warranty repairs?

i ordered T495 (with IPS, 250 nits display option), but the screen doesn't look like it's IPS.

If TN panel were showing lowest resolution

Display
14" HD TN (1366 x 768, 220 nits)
14" FHD IPS (1920 x 1080, 250 nits)
14" FHD IPS Touchscreen (1920 x 1080, 300 nits)
14" FHD IPS Low Power (1920 x 1080, 400 nits)

windows showing resolution as 1080p. so should be correct. but still looks a bit grainy to me. not like my desktop IPS (which is a bit glossy)

Because the 250nits Color Gamut just 45% only.
If you get 300nits will be base on 72% of sRGB color

i manage to improve the native windows from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440 by using the AMD RADEON settings app. now i can see more things on my screen.

my questoin is will this damage my display in the long run?
