X395 can hold more than 8-9 hours
T495 can last for 6-7 hours.

Tonight 12am or next morning has Citibank card 45% discount for selected models only, I’m not sure about T495 or X395 doing the same offering again.

I would say real life use for T495 is closer to 5 hours after having used it. But no issue as the 65W charger charger the laptop really fast. Like 1 hour and the battery is almost fully charged.

My previous build on T495, using NIGHT = RM3056
Tried other code just now for same configuration (Inc 3years warranty add on)
MERDEKA = RM3763.95
CITI45 = RM3216.65
So as for T495, NIGHT is better but it is unavailable currently.
*
nice sharing!

sayyid_muammar better you maxed the specs as you can see the price difference isn't much.

By maxed the specs, u mean the internal ram and 400 nits display?
*
Yeah, whatever you can afford, try to max it. For me personally I prefer as much RAM. My mistake when I bought last time was I went with 16GB RAM when the 32GB would have only set me back rm200 more.

Even if you buy outside from third party, the 16GB RAM sticks cost RM300. So you can see that you actually save by configuring with Lenovo.

Yup open chrome at same time with Revit model, CPU fan didn’t kick in at all, even watching YouTube and reading Lowyat forum still damn peaceful.
*
For me only time the T495 fan kicks in is when i am charging the laptop while using the laptop.

I would love to hear about T495s vs. X395 vs. ThinkBook 13s... Anyone can highlight the pros and cons? Would appreciate little help...

QUOTE(Benefon @ Nov 19 2019, 11:27 PM)
X395 can find my main page reviews
T495s not much user here, cause the Ram is onboard and selling higher price to compare X395.
T495 is another workhorse, can replace many midrange laptop, price is reasonable and ram upgradable.

Thinkbook 13s cc to our bro kuci_mayong

I have used the Thinkbook 13s also.. but not much reviews
*
I think if you need to decide you should go and test them all in store or watch some youtube reviews online. Maybe your local lenovo store has all these 3 models to test.

Personally I would go with T495s (among the 3 models you listed) mainly for the bigger screen and it has dual channel ram (advantage over the Thinkbook 13s which only has single channel RAM). I also prefer the Thinkpad built quality over the Thinkbook 13s. It also has USB-C charging which the ThinkBook 13s does not. Only cons is the fan will blow on the right, so if you use mouse on the right you will feel hot air.

Thinkbook 13s overall is quite nice also and its benefit is the thinness of the laptop and the battery last really long. I have never had a laptop that can last so long. Although single channel RAM you can upgrade it to 32GB which is quite high for laptop in this price range. Personally I can get a whole afternoon out of it (like more than 6 hours) but other people and reviewers say they can get up to 9-11 hours. I also think the Intel processor handles display scaling and basic task like Chrome web browsing and PDF viewing much better that the AMD Ryzen processor (Sometimes you can see AMD laptop a bit jittery or notice some lag compared to the Intel laptop - at least for me). The display is HDR and it does seem a bit nicer because of the warmer colors, colors seem more accurate (aside from the yellow tint that goes away once you eyes have adapted to the screen - however not everyone likes yellow tint displays). One issue with my Thinkbook 13s is it got audio crackling on the left side speaker (its on and off issue).

Actually, I can't imagine this is a desktop workstation, very thin and space-saving. 🤣🤣
The overall very compact, still can upgradable ram, Ssd, wifi card, CPU with GPU as well.

Could be just price is more but RAM is same (typo in lenovo website), from the psref there is only one ram speed (3733MHz LPDDR4x)

I searched in Lenovo psref, too bad Malaysia will probably have at most ryzen 4500u, 8gb soldered ram and 57whr

in Europe those lucky buyers can get this laptop with 4800u, 16gb ram, 70whr battery and metal casing. all for below than myr 3500.

damn jelly

hope Lenovo MY can give option to customize the spec

Seems only one model for malaysia

Just placed my thinkpad T14 Gen 1 (AMD )from Lenovo website.
And customized my preferences, surprisingly choose from R5 Pro 4650U to R7 PRO 4750U is RM0. Then upgraded to 16GB onboard RAM ( extra slot available), 300nits touch screen, 6-row Backlit keyboard, 65W AC Adapter Slim Type C.

Total after applied discount code BIGSALE 15% off
RM2,957.58

After I will get another 4.5% cashback from shopback.

I actually choose between L15 Gen 1 and this T14. And finally go for this.

Seems the L15 AMD no longer can customized

What specs is it? Normally people go for customized model mainly for the better deal in specs, however waiting time is long.

already said model code is 20UFS0410, you can check it yourself.

btw, there is no point buying Ryzen 7 on this small X13 laptop, it will get throttle, check processor part review graph in link down here.

Ryzen 7 4750U CPU frequency chart look like roller coaster. laugh.gif But at T14s, it is stable.
