I didn't but you should just get it and also max out the spec as much as you can. Why? Cause for example the 3 year warranty is rm399 minus 45% off. Don't let the number scare you cause that 45% knocks off a lot of from original price.

If you're in Malaysia just wait the last 3 days of August or Sept. Can use Citibank 45% discount.

Yeap that’s me. I even posted picture comparisons to showcase it. I think even if you take my laptop that I got with 45% discount and configure it TODAY, you will still get the same price as what I paid or maybe even less by rm50.

Ofcourse there are also genuine good offers. Just don’t be fooled by their offers as they often increase and decrease their starting price.

I still recommend lenovo, their price to value still beats the competition.

Actually just check the Lenovo site on and off, you will find good deals.

But if you want the Citibank 45% off, you must wait last 3 days of August or Sept 2019. (But as noted, you can still get good discounts even now on their site).

I also wonder why they only offer 16GB with the Ryzen 5 Pro instead of Ryzen 7 Pro.

Maybe due to thermal throttling. Few people complained the Ryzen 7 Pro heats and slows down the performance..

Ryzen 5 Pro seems to be no such issue.

If you get x395 and max out the ram, it'll be dual channel ram (8gbx2 = 16gb ram), but both are soldered.

If you get the t495, just max the soldered ram slot to 16gb ram, and later on you can buy another ram stick and install it yourself at the second slot which is swappable.

Reason I'm telling you this is because an 8gb upgrade to 16gb on Lenovo site is quite cheap (only add between rm100-200).

You can get the same price I bought today. Just go check out my previous post and then configure the specs accordingly and you will see the discount actually not time limited (the current discounts as good as the Citibank discount). Lenovo plays with the laptop pricing.

P1 Gen 2 comes with 2 removable slots?

Also, I just assume you were testing the speeds, so did you replace back the 64gb ram back into the P1 after that again?

I'm planning to get crucial ram if and when I decide to upgrade the 2nd ram slot.

It’s not black and white. You need to consider different views.

For my model the discount not really discount as you can still buy now with the same price on lenovo website. (In previous post I’ve shared pics about it to point out what I mean, if you’re interested).

But for other models especially the ones that Benefon shared, you save quite a lot.

Im just sharing my observations here.

He used the wrong example, but his point is still correct. If you search "3500u" on lazada you can see many AMD models starting around RM1800-2000.

I'd still go with T or X series because of the military spec and proven design.

august confirmed cause the picture you attached on first post says valid "till" sept 2019 (means include august), also we purchased on july using the same promotional event.

haha i wish. but one is good for me. i will use till it becomes outdated and slow. hoping to see if thinkvision m14 has promo though would be nice to get a second monitor. but after monitoring the lenovo site, seems their accessories and monitors don't really get discounts.

yes same size with my laptop screen, more symmetrical. thinvision m14 is actually a "portable display" for your info.

this is for taking around with you. can also use with your phone if you have huawei or samsung that turns your phone into a desktop. i prefer this as more versatile and can use it in multiple environments compared to a big monitor that is stationary in one spot.

crosses fingers. they do sell on lazada for rm100 off though. its just a want, not really a need but i will pounce if there is good offer.
