Thanks your help. I will go define from WD sn720 model.
To me all windows really hungry battery.

Unless you gonna go for Snapdragon or Google Chrome or MacBook Air.

i'm quite happy with the battery performance on its own. i think more than enough, but manufacturers tend to exaggerated and i think have to let people know about it. so if advertised is 12 hours all day battery, i think more realistic is 6 hours. just to let other members here aware of it. but ofcourse this is my experience, hoping to hear from others on what their experience is with their amd laptops.

Wait mine X395 see whether can get how many hours for 300nits display.
*
yes, i'm super happy with the laptop. i think will save up to get the E595 (i know E series is inferior), but mainly cause i like big screen. even t495 i think the screen quite small. haha.

Ya, in previous of my X1 Carbon 6th was 14inch but that’s lighter weight, now I got my P1 Gen 2 15.6inch screen ratio that’s wide enough for me to view all tools bar / tag from Autodesk Revit model.
But the Weight is increase a lot from 1.12kg to 1.7kg now 😅😅 the battery life just 2.5 hours from full charged
*
That's the trade off though. big screen = less battery. i think T490/5 is the perfect tradeoff in this case as battery and screen is at a "balance".

Die die must wait for X395 comes with 13.3 inch only.
Now still pending in Sepang for license missing.
*
overall wait is worth it. when i see these back to school offers on facebook and they only offer 4GB ram, 128gb ssd for rm2500, i seriously think its waste money. lenovo for the win. haha. I am super jealous those that went with 32 gb ram on this thread too.

Haha how many gigabytes of your machine now?
16gb bought from Taobao is around Rm255 each
*
now 16gb, i think won't upgrade so soon. will wait maybe a year. so far happy with everything and overall performance. don't think 32 gb will add any difference to performance for the stuff i do (basic web surfing and youtube etc).

and that's the beauty, can upgrade when needed unlike other competitors.

32gb ram can do many thing at same times.
Do you needs?
Hahah I don’t think so, actually 8gb Ram is sufficient.
The good thing is comes with free slot to upgrade in future as you need it.
*
now i und la why you keep buying so many thinkpads haha. feel like need to get another one just because price is good (compared to other companies) and quality is legit.

U need to call the delivery guy.
There's an option to schedule online, but u need to pay to be a member for that.
*
better you do this Jackie-Cham, but from my experience if they can't find you, they'll try again next day, if really can't find you they will leave a card telling you to contact them.

hi first time buying laptop online. any installment option for payment? what is selectable memeory? which memory better onboard or selectable?
*
no installment on lenovo site. my advice is just max everything (i mean RAM and SSD here). on-board means its soldered, selectable means you can swap it in and out yourself (means upgradable).

I am not sure how to really read this, but i think the data tallies with what i said earlier. the battery drains really fast and real world usage is more to around 4-6 hours instead of the advertised all day battery life.

This is what is written on lenovo: "That’s why the ThinkPad T495 delivers up to 12.2 hours of battery life".

Note, I am not complaining here, just reporting and giving feedback on the machine for anyone else thinking to buy.

I noticed most laptop nowadays come with soldered onboard RAM + another slot for expansion.

I will choose 8GB (or for T495 even better, can select 16GB) onboard soldered RAM. Then add on another stick of RAM separately (aftermart).
*
SLRcom With the prices that lenovo offers, its better to max the RAM, I took 16GB RAM, but another fellow member here took the same model and maxed the RAM to 32GB, probably only difference in price was RM200 for that RAM upgrade. If you check Lazada, 16GB RAM is selling for RM300 atleast.

Cheaper than MY right ?
I can help buy ☺️☺️☺️
Damn! I just saw Malaysia price and now ThinkPad E595 is RM3,361.18 starting price. Just last week I saw it around RM2300. That's why need to be aware of these price differences by Lenovo. You buy on wrong day and timing is literally RM1000 difference in savings.

Really be careful when you purchase, do your research. Today Intel version of the E590 series is cheaper. Not only that, if you look at the specs, the base model of the cheaper E590 (intel) version is way better than the base specs of the E595 (amd) version today. So not only does Lenovo change the prices, but they also change the default base specs on their system from day to day.

xproc finally do all my unboxing video n photos.
Haha cause the box in JB , I can’t take the original box copy like you.

ThinkPad X395 is superb laptop size and weight, price not as Super high sky like Intel models.
I love this AMD Rzyen Pro 5300U very quiet unlike Intel always fan kick in.
The keyboard are awesome, key traveller very soft touch and without any pressure for typing any words.
Seem like battery life pretty good, no issue for 5 hours.
Display 300nits not as bad , seem like better than my expectations, colors very nice.
The overall build quality are excellent, I will rate this X395 : 9/10.

My conclusion is don’t think the Intel cpu in the midrange anymore, cause as usual facts on heating issue.
Anyway should try in different cpu.

Looks really good. I am enjoying mine a lot. Been using it one week and no issues. I can't even remember when the fan noise kicked in and if it does its super super low. Also, so far no heating issue for me, the laptop runs very cool. Display also super nice, the best i have seen on a thinkpad and before this, thinkpad displays were quiet bad last time, mine is 250 nits and mostly use it between 50-60% brightness in-doors. Color reproduction is great too, images look better than my other device's displays.

And lastly, although battery life is not as advertised (but still good between 4-5 hours), i find the 65W charger very good, it charges the laptop very fast (if you have phone that has fast charging, this charger gives you that same feeling of fast charging).

Btw the AMD software i only use it to turn off the navi bright (auto brightness), i don't enjoy auto brightness. Went online and could not find any solution to fix the auto brightness and here is one part i see why Intel has advantage, most of the solution was catered to Intel and installing the Intel Graphics software. So i just decided to try AMD graphics software and see whether there is an option to turn off the auto brightness. So far it works!

Finally get the battery life, I don’t think can able to hit up 14 hours per changed.

it came like that out of the box or did you change the power mode? i am thinking of changing to "balanced" mode but just haven't had time to thinker around.
btw, i don't think can trust that estimate, if it says 14 hours, i think the actual real life usage is more to 6-7 hours.

i am currently on "lenovo's intelligent" mode.

This is my read out, but real world usage although says 4 hours, i get more to 2 hours. Currently testing out "balanced" power option, see it can get better battery life.

Maybe slightly bigger panel drain more energy than 13.3” at 300nits, I set on 80% brightness only.

And yet i wish i got the E series. For me the screen size too small. Haha.
