Godzilla: King of the Monsters - 1 Star
Stupid storyline Stupid too dark dusty special effect Stupid fight Stupid theory Stupid boring The worst Godzilla film I ever watch  Brightburn - 3 Star Something unique where the "Superman" is villain. 2 mediocre movies... if u care about them...!
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is not so good... sorry!  possibly the worst of the whole lot, it is the 7th episode in whole franchise. while the CGI is not too bad, the story is weak, action scenes can do better... esp the part about the "aliens". the cast did OK, including jessica chastain (she can do better...) but no jack hughman/wolverine... and i think they killed off raven/mystique becos jennifer lawrence wants to get out!! new director... din pay off 2/5.  martial arts... there was bruce lee.... then jet li, donnie yen... for a while... wu jing, (max) zhang jin. zhang jin did well in many movies - SPL II: A Time for Consequences, Ip Man 3, Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy. his latest, invincible dragon as an attempt to move forward to appeal to a diff audience... less kungfu, more CGI, use of foreign fighters. this one has brazilian UFC champ Anderson Silva.. like Ip Man3 had Mike Tyson, Ip Man Legacy had Dave Bautista. i found it quite alright despite the shortcomings... 2.5/5... hope he will keep doing what he does best. if u liked Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocket Man, u gotta watch Yesterday.
dedicated to the Beatles, it is a nice romantic comedy musical movie. hope they will make more such light, nostalgic great musical movies. 3/5.  |

Parasite (Korean) A winner from this year's Canne Film Festival. From time to time I got attracted to a few nice korean films. Many of which has element of surprises, which I think, becaming an in thing for them. This film may not give us a feel good effect, but just sit down, enjoy every single frame that brings us along with its unique story line. I truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended. |
