Avengers: Endgame was widely anticipated, and Disney backed the film with extensive marketing campaigns. It premiered in Los Angeles on April 22, 2019, and was theatrically released in the United States on April 26, 2019, in IMAX and 3D. The film received praise for its direction, acting, musical score, visual effects, and emotional weight, with critics lauding its culmination of the 22-film story. It has grossed over $2.79 billion worldwide, surpassing Infinity War's entire theatrical run in just eleven days and breaking numerous box office records, including becoming the highest-grossing film of all time, overtaking Avatar.
credit to the grand organization... so many characters... almost like an MCU gathering.
the final battle is very well done... guess the bulk of the $368mil went there.
other than that, i didn't find it that impressive despite all the hype and talk. 3/5 at best.

Yea. Watched in cinema.. kinda half baked Vs others MCU movies before that. Lots of scenes need to be put into the movie. Which make it's kinda cut and paste from here and there.

all that visual effects, monster fights.... can't make up for a poor narrative, and a bad script.
costs $200mil, grossed 385mil. 2/5.
next year, we'll get godzilla vs kong!
rocketman... is a biographical musical movie about the life of elton john.
unlike bohemian rhapsody where real queen music was used, this one has taron egerton (eggsy of kingsman) singing the songs.
pretty much the truth about his life, incl his gay part.
if u like his music, it is quite an entertaining movie.... incl a glimpse into and what "goodbye yellow brick road", "your song" and "rocketman" were really about. 3/5.

Interestingly, has anyone seen a Michael Bay movie recently?
Definitely no for me.
This movie blindsided me.
It has a modest budget (20 million) and did not do much at the US box office (7 million).
Being a movie English production, I am not surprise.
It is very... what is that word I am looking for... lyrical, but in a image sense... I am not sure I am getting this through.
This movie attempts to tell the life story of J. R. R. Tolkien.
From his childhood, early tragedies, to him and his brother having to grown up very quickly, leaving everything they know and then having to live at a boarding house.
He and his brother were put under the care of a catholic priest and can only go to university if they get a scholarship.
It is a slow moving movie.
It tells his live through his fellowship of T.C.B.S. (Tea Club and Barrovian Society) and how the later stories that he would write is inspired by his life (friends, school, War World I)
I thought this was beautifully cast, written and directed.
The box office suggest otherwise.
C'est La Vie
I love the picture quality of this movie. Beautifully shot in England.
Although overall a rather quite movie, the World War I scenes are also sonically pleasing.
Don't think anyone would be using this as reference material, and have to add for the movie, it works.
