Very much. Samsung has much evolved from the earlier Touchwiz to Samsung Experience to One UI now. Bloatware has been drastically reduced on the One UI but the firmware is still far from "perfect". Compared to Oxygen, One UI is still not at its level, yet.

Yup, I concur. This is easily the best Android UI I've ever used - my personal opinion smile.gif

I'm currently also using a Redmi Note 7 assigned by company. The difference between the user interfaces is stark.

Does anybody know what third party charger could get more than 1.5A charging on oneplus7pro?

Tested huawei supercharge and qc 3.0 charger, could not get more than 1.5A for charging.

Saw mcdodo charger in shopee that supports multiple charging protocol, but do not know if it can go beyond 1.5A.

Also seen some article saying oneplus7pro supports usb tyoe c PD, anyone can confirm this?

Yes, don't need to worry about battery life. It can last long for your daily usage. But, not that impressive. Just barely meet the expectation. My op5 (stock, unroot) could perform better than op7 pro.

I think UI is pretty much about personal preference. Some may find Oxygen OS a little too simplistic and boring, while others may absolutely love it. Same goes for MIUI and EMUI, some like it while there are others who can't stand it so it really depends. I've used a couple of Huawei devices before, the last one being a P20 Pro. I do feel it's a little less elegant than Samsung's One UI for me, but the amount of bloat is more tolerable compared to MIUI.

Im using p30pro previously. Emui 9.1 can be consider a good one. It comes down whther u like simple UI or more advanced ui. For me i fall in love with op7pro super smooth scrolling. I dont care much about ui unless the annoying one like vivo funtouch.

Why consider 3rd party when the XF already brought in 3pin Warp Charger?

I bought the charger+dash cable bundle from 1 of the retailer in shopee and it works flawlessly.

Once you tasted Warp charge, the slow charge feels like an eternity.

Also I remember watching from YouTube that Oneplus 7 pro will draw about 7W if using non compliant protocol.

there's still the classic stubbornness in Samsung when it comes to their firmware and software side, namely BIXBY

seriously all they need to do to make One UI close to perfect is remove the damm BIXBY. no one cares about it but Samsung being Samsung, they're forcing it down on the users

Because original warp cost double/triple 😓

3rd party charger that supports multiple charging protocol can also be used for other devices.. Essentially, I'm looking for a charger that supports more than 2A charging for all my devices. If possible.

You're right, all other charger i tried have 4V-5V ~1.5A charging rate.

The reason I bought the warp charger is for peace of mind and I mainly use my device for 3 years at minimum.

I am no expert since this is my first Oneplus device but I do read before (from the Oneplus 6/6t thread) that the Oneplus charging technology is based on Oppo VOOC charging.
From the VOOC wiki page, it mentions that VOOC is compatible with Dash Charge (5V/4A). No mentions if SuperVOOC is compatible as Warp Charge (5V/6A).

My guess that if you want higher than 7W charging but lower than 30W charging, VOOC compliant charger should able to bring you to 20W charging since I think the Oneplus 7 pro still supports Dash Charging.

P30? Great phone, even greater Zoom mode. But I dislike kirin chipset and emui (personal preference). With the current situation of the US trade war working against Huawei, Google android possibly abandoning Huawei, combined with Huawei's silly move in pushing advertisement on Huawei phones lock screen scandal recently, I would not touch any Huawei with a pole.

Well, all big companies like Samsung will have their own 'ego' in pushing out their own apps and programs and try to make consumers adapt and use it, just like Apple. As long as we are not forced to buy and use it, Im ok. Bixby can be disabled and best is to not enable it on the first boot. Problem solved.

The problem with Android phone makers is that they have to realize that Apple owns both hardware and software, so they can force whatever they think is right to their users. That's not the case for Android. The software doesn't belong to Samsung or Huawei. Google has their own ecosystem and set of apps, so to have another one from the phone manufacturer means there are duplicates and some users (like myself) dismiss them as bloat.

Hehe, I'd still like to try the P30 Pro at some point though, but for now, maybe not.
