AGREED. Exactly my sentiment as well

The good old days where you need to get an "invitation" to be able to buy a Oneplus phone.

Is my OnePlus 7 (nonpro) water resistant sifus?
*
I would put it as splash resistant. No IP rating on any Oneplus phones yet but I never had any issues washing them under a running tap.

I'm having the same deciding issue as you. Currently using IPhone X. Already 2 weeks now and i still can't decide either S10+ or OP7  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif
*
The camera will not be as good as the camera on your Iphone X. If you place much importance on the camera then go for the S10+. But if hardware and firmware is your priority, OP7 it is.

Before using OP2, I was on Galaxy S3 and the bloatware is just too bad. Not sure if it has improved since then.
*
Very much. Samsung has much evolved from the earlier Touchwiz to Samsung Experience to One UI now. Bloatware has been drastically reduced on the One UI but the firmware is still far from "perfect". Compared to Oxygen, One UI is still not at its level, yet.

QUOTE(ChipZ @ Jul 4 2019, 11:56 PM)
AH, thanks for the feedback.. Now, how and where does Huawei P30 fall compared to these 2 devices?
*
P30? Great phone, even greater Zoom mode. But I dislike kirin chipset and emui (personal preference). With the current situation of the US trade war working against Huawei, Google android possibly abandoning Huawei, combined with Huawei's silly move in pushing advertisement on Huawei phones lock screen scandal recently, I would not touch any Huawei with a pole.

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Jul 5 2019, 08:21 AM)
there's still the classic stubbornness in Samsung when it comes to their firmware and software side, namely BIXBY

seriously all they need to do to make One UI close to perfect is remove the damm BIXBY. no one cares about it but Samsung being Samsung, they're forcing it down on the users
*
Well, all big companies like Samsung will have their own 'ego' in pushing out their own apps and programs and try to make consumers adapt and use it, just like Apple. As long as we are not forced to buy and use it, Im ok. Bixby can be disabled and best is to not enable it on the first boot. Problem solved.

QUOTE(attw @ Jul 5 2019, 10:57 AM)
The problem with Android phone makers is that they have to realize that Apple owns both hardware and software, so they can force whatever they think is right to their users. That's not the case for Android. The software doesn't belong to Samsung or Huawei. Google has their own ecosystem and set of apps, so to have another one from the phone manufacturer means there are duplicates and some users (like myself) dismiss them as bloat.

Hehe, I'd still like to try the P30 Pro at some point though, but for now, maybe not.

Of course. Sales team make profit for them. Service team makes loss for them. tongue.gif

Bro, mobile 2 go said 2 years warranty. Are they covering lcd for 2 years also? Or just software 2 years n the rest 3 months?
*
Better read the terms and condition properly. Many ap sellers cover their LCD/LED for 3 months only. Not sure about M2G.

3 months for screen, as expected.

On another note, the gadgetshieldz skin arrived. Quality wise not up to dbrand, but good enough la.

Some ap dealers help send your unit back to the original country of purchase directly to the manufacturer/distributor for RMA. Lengthy process, but at not much of cost to them and in return make their customers happy.

Tradition will be the 7T will be sharing the same thread with the current 7 thread.

The alert slider is one of the trademark feature of Oneplus phones. This slider is similar to the silent button on Iphones, No need to unlock your phone to put your phone in silent mode.

One question

I bought from directd yesterday and they told me it was their last day for the free gift

But then they mentioned out of stock and will deliver to me once ready

Is that reliable or should i follow up myself a few weeks later? sweat.gif

On the receipt they did put a remark to deliver the one plus earphones once got stock

And got a "paid" remark using credit card
*
Welcome to the club bro and congrats on your first Oneplus phone. So which model did you get?

M2G is reliable. Don't worry. Many forummers bought their phones from the as they are one of the major Oneplus phone dealers.

Oneplus has a policy of six months lifecycle for its flagship. It will only be a minor upgrade for the T model though.
