Does anybody know what third party charger could get more than 1.5A charging on oneplus7pro?

Tested huawei supercharge and qc 3.0 charger, could not get more than 1.5A for charging.

Saw mcdodo charger in shopee that supports multiple charging protocol, but do not know if it can go beyond 1.5A.

Also seen some article saying oneplus7pro supports usb tyoe c PD, anyone can confirm this?
*
Why consider 3rd party when the XF already brought in 3pin Warp Charger?

I bought the charger+dash cable bundle from 1 of the retailer in shopee and it works flawlessly.

Once you tasted Warp charge, the slow charge feels like an eternity.

Also I remember watching from YouTube that Oneplus 7 pro will draw about 7W if using non compliant protocol.

Yup, read that somewhere, if anyone have tried type c pd, your confirmation is very much appreciated ✌️
Because original warp cost double/triple 😓

3rd party charger that supports multiple charging protocol can also be used for other devices.. Essentially, I'm looking for a charger that supports more than 2A charging for all my devices. If possible.

You're right, all other charger i tried have 4V-5V ~1.5A charging rate.
*
The reason I bought the warp charger is for peace of mind and I mainly use my device for 3 years at minimum.

I am no expert since this is my first Oneplus device but I do read before (from the Oneplus 6/6t thread) that the Oneplus charging technology is based on Oppo VOOC charging.
From the VOOC wiki page, it mentions that VOOC is compatible with Dash Charge (5V/4A). No mentions if SuperVOOC is compatible as Warp Charge (5V/6A).

My guess that if you want higher than 7W charging but lower than 30W charging, VOOC compliant charger should able to bring you to 20W charging since I think the Oneplus 7 pro still supports Dash Charging.

Weird I've been getting random notification on my OnePlus 7 Pro. I'll receive notification sound but no notification shows up. I tried looking into my notification log but nothing (since no notification show up) so I cant check & it's not NFC either cuz i have it turned off.
Anyone else having same issue?
*
Same as you. I do hear the notification sound but nothing lights up. Opening the screen reveal nothing also.

I was wondering if a rogue app is pinging but not sure how to trace.

So far so good.

No issues.

Thanks . Guess will update once I am at home. I am on a little cautious side for every update thanks to the bad update by Huawei experience few years back.

To anyone that installed the UV tempered glass screen protector, did anyone faced any issue after some time like spiderweb, bubble etc?

I read the Whitestone dome is still having spider web issue but I am wondering if T-Max will also face this issue as well.

The stock screen protector is really a dust magnet and I am considering getting the UV glue tempered glass.

I guess it was a bad demo unit.  bangwall.gif
So far no issue at all, it's like the tempered glass doesn't even exists. (I do clean the edge once in a while of dust using Rubbing Alcohol)

Been using Whitestone dome for 2 - 3 weeks so far no problem. Whitestone's installation kit is superb, but too bad after some time you'll have a lot of dusts stick at the edge of the tempered glass. Now XianFeng has screen protection warranty, only for RM79. I think I'm gonna get it and then just lose the screen protector biggrin.gif

Thanks for the feedback. Guess will give a visit to Sakurazz once I stop by at Selangor.

btw any reports on ghost touch issues here?

seems like on reddit, many are experiencing this issue on the oneplus 7 pro hmm.gif
*
Nope. No issue here even after upgrade to the latest firmware.

Regarding headphone jack, I was in the same boat as you but once I use the Oneplus wireless bullet v1 (bundled together during pre-order) for about 2 months now, I hardly miss the headphone jack. The convenience is far far better than having a wired headphone and I could not perceive any latency for the audio while watching youtube videos.

So yea, for average user, I dont think the omission of headphone jack is an issue now since we are heading towards the era of bluetooth headset. Just wished there are cheaper aptX HD earphone selection...

Need a recommendation of good screen protector for this awesome phone???

Already window shopping at shopee.......some really good one can reach rm168.......a bit pricey to me TBH.....

Becoz l never change a phone for this past 3 years l never knew there's screen protector with glue and uv ray on the market..... Is it any good??? Variety of prices too.....
*
Like other forumers said, you can consider the T-Max UV-glue tempered glass from @sakurazz here at LYN Garage Sales section.
I had the opportunity to stop by at Selangor and had him install the tempered glass on my phone just last Tuesday.

Friendly guy and the tempered glass is so awesome compared to standard screen protector. It feels premium in my hand and I left the place a happy customer.

I just got a new USB-PD 18W charger from UGreen, why doesn't the charging says Charging rapidly when it's fast charging? I check the voltage coming in based on the Ampere app, I'm getting about 1.7kmA
*
I had a powerbank that supports PD 15W and the Ampere app is showing the same amp as you. I am not sure if OP7 pro really supports PD (as claimed) as I do not see examples/proof of PD 15W is being utilized by OP7 Pro.

Anyone else managed to get the PD 15W charging to OP7 Pro working?

Updated to Android 10 and after using for a few days, my main issue is that I have to relearn the gesture introduced. In Android 10 which in Android 9,i used the hybrid button- gesture mode.

Speed wise, it is still acceptable for me though I can see the home screen unlock introduced an animation delay. Not a problem though.

Just received the OTA update notification to update to 10.0.2 (Malaysia set; OP7 Pro)

Is there any known issues to this update?

QUOTE(Banana Boat @ Nov 28 2019, 09:41 PM)
Looking to get this phone I have 2 questions:

1. The official my set is 2 year warranty? I read its not fully warranty? Can someone clarify?

2. I noticed AP set is a lot cheaper but almost all sellers are located in KL is there one located in Penang? Or is there a cheap My set be found in Penang?

Thanks!
*
1. When I bought MY set the warranty is 2 years. As far as I know the AP set does not have full warranty (although I do not know if MY set have full 2 years as well). Example Mobile2Go says their AP set warranty is 2 years but i recall is software only. Hardware warranty is as short as 3 months.

2. AP set is cheaper as they sourced their phone from China which is generally cheaper. MY set is mostly coming from HK or UK set (wild guess) which is much more expensive. So far in Penang, I do not encounter any seller that sells OP phones other than Mobile2Go which they have a branch in Komtar.

Is it normal for 1+ to skip some security updates? Mine is still on Nov Security Patch.

Funny thing is that my Xiaomi Mi A1 (Android 9) is running on January 2020 Security update.
