Those planning to apply for other cashback cards..... I recommend to hold fire and wait at least until early next year after BNM's policy come into force to see if any other banks revised their card benefits

Unless you dont mind the process of applying, getting dissapointed, and cancelling cards for the next few months

Do you guys still have any online instalment plans (in my case, it's Samsung instalment, 0% over 24 months, earning cashback every month) affected by this silly change in Quantum cashback?

Feeling really annoyed now as I just benefited from 2 instalments, but won't be earning anything for the remaining 22 months and gotta keep my card for another 2 years until the plan is paid off.
*
If your instalment is over RM100, should still earn cashback for Quantum Visa. Quantum Master.... too bad. That card is really useless now

[EDIT] my bad, just saw the word online. Yeah feel bad for those who utiises QM cashback

Hi.. May I confirm with you that quantum both card unable to earn cash back for instalment ?
Previously is eligible  one? I thought anything with instalment doesn’t count in for cash back…
Do you happen to know is there any cc that can give me cash back with instalment each month? Plan to buy iPhone..
*
depends what kind of installment.... those installment that you get by buying in stores using terminal usually not eligible for cashback

however some online installments eg: shopee / lazada installment, or those pay later schemes eg: spaylater, atome... you are eligible for cashback if your card have cashback for online purchase

QUOTE(paogeh @ Sep 11 2022, 11:45 PM)
any good suggestion for PBB VS replacement ?

i have around 500--1000 monthly on grocery+petrol.
Thanks
*
where do you buy your groceries and which petrol station do you pump?

can consider Maybank 2 Gold/Platinum AMEX, 5% cashback on weekends, cap at RM50 monthly (RM1000 spent), lifetime free annual fee, low requirements to sign up.

caveat is you have to spend on weekends (Sat and Sun) and depending on where you spent not all accept AMEX

for me i usually do my groceries in Jaya Grocer, and petrol I pump BHP. Both accept AMEX

otherwise can consider Affin Duo+ as well

Hi Bro

The event start from 30/9, you can see the table inside T&C.

This time they no exclude "Quantum" Card, so can use。

Normally PBB top ewallet = online trasaction, unless they mention Ewallet excluded

Plus, i have checked with PBB CS, their answer: yes, top up shopee pay is entitled

if its considered as online, then everyone will be using quantum master to reload ewallet months back.

The discussion now is about the new campaign. Refer page 887

For the Master Card campaign, ewallet is not included in the exclusion list based on the TnC

from my view, ewallet has been excluding as an online transaction for months/years, so that fact is basically established.

Then i guess many just got upcar-ed by PBB CS biggrin.gif

This one is double gamble, the worst case is no CB and get ban by TnG… do it at your own risk ya

???? is there an explicit rule by TNG saying you cant duitnow back to your own acc?

anyway since you are doing just once a month for this campaign, doubt it would raise any red flag or they would care

Hey guys I just found out about the quantum changes yesterday, was wondering is there any other card in the market now with similar cb benefits for both online and/or retail spend like Affin Duo?  cry.gif  UOB One and HLB Wise I have but only cover specific categories and have min total spend.
*
Maybank AMEX. 5% cashback no minimum spent, max cashback RM50 cap per month (RM1k spent)

caveat is only weekend spending eligible, and AMEX not as widely accepted as Visa/MC

I mean technically its not like the money fall from the sky also.... the credit card still have to be settled

But i get your point, many are misusing this for extra cash / cash advance purposes
