i think im gonna cont using my QMC eventhough with that suspicious St Louis transaction.... and its just RM0

i have a planned big online purchase coming this week and if call now to replace card gonna take a while till I received it..... also my original plan is to cancel this QMC once I received my PIB Visa Plat, so no point to get replacement also

its still showing as Unposted since 22 July

will update here if there's any more suspicious transaction

Just an update. That initial Shopee St Louis transaction already dissappeared from my statement. So far no suspicious transaction yet

Also bought a pair of shoes from Footlocker and noticed this as well. So I guess St Louis itself shouldnt be a red flag but still keep an eye out if you didnt make any transaction with the merchant and especially if it involves some money

signed up for PIB Visa Plat on PBE website last Tues, yesterday received SMS saying my application was approved, today received my card in mailbox. Pretty quick


btw my Quantum Visa and MC both share a combined credit limit, if I were to cancel one of them, will it reduce the credit limit?

No worries if you wave and enter PIN. Cashback is still counted

Both 5% cashback cap at RM30 monthly

So you need to spend until RM600 in your monthly statement (for each card) to receive the full cashback. Take note minimum RM30 per transaction and for Visa you need to use paywave, for MC is online transaction only (not applicable to ewallet top ups)

Goddammit..... I have the highest credit limit on Quantum cards currently

They nerfed Quantum Master really hard, previously just removed ewallets from cashback category and minimum RM30 online transaction. Now its just 2% cashback on overseas transactions min spent RM100 cap at RM20 monthly..... who the hell is this card for I just decided a while ago maybe I should keep the card after I received my PIB VS... just for some online spending. Now there's really no reason to keep it anymore

In terms of flexibility i believe Maybank AMEX is the best.... just that you need to spend during weekends and not all merchants accept AMEX

Quite hard to find a card that offers full flexibility like Quantum Visa and MC combo

4 cards for what could've been done with Quantum 2 cards

Can I just tell them the card is useless now

Its a bit of shame really because PBB have one of the best CS amongst all the banks..... and they almost always grant SST rebate

Right now the best cashback card on my hand is back to Maybank AMEX.... ironically my first card. Signed up Quantums just so it can fulfil my weekdays cashback needs.


Is there any better cards out there for grocery and dining cashbacks?

Min spent RM30k a year to waive the RM550 annual fee for Maybank VS doubt I'll reach that amount


Will probably still keep my Quantum Visa mainly because -
i) currently holds my highest credit limit, i need for some electrical appliances purchase by end of this year for my new house

ii) I just received my new PIB Visa Plat last month. Will they approve me if I were to apply another new card or two this month? Regardless whether from PB or other banks


Feel bad for those who just received their Quantums btw. Too late to the party

Thanks. Just checked, unfortunately the minimum monthly spending makes it unsuitable for me. Rarely get to spend 2k -3k per month consistantly using CC

Mine was approved almost immediately after I called them although my SST was charged few months ago. Had a bit of lecture from the CS but that was it
