just wanted to check, I've read first page but still didn't get a solid answer

for PBB Quantum Visa - online transaction cash back, does it apply to my monthly auto credit insurance payment?
*
not applicable to autodebit/autopay/standing instruction

fyi, quantum visa has no cashback for online transaction.

The problem is there is no such info on the letter. The letter is a single sheet of paper with general terms and condition, credit card no, credit limit, etc. The officer that gave the card said the statement date should be the day that the card is activated, which i assume would be 3rd of every month...

there IS. you didnt read it properly

i wonder if PB have facility for withdrawing cash from credit card and can repay with monthly installment... for example other banks like citibank, cimb, maybank or HL have those kind of facility.
*
ditto above

and dont think pbb has cash installment plan.

I used visa signature to pay for conference fee in Taiwan on 29/1/20, the amount of money was always in "authorized charge" and never appeared in my statement/ outstanding column. But my credit limit was deducted due to this amount of money.

But, on 6/2/20 (my monthly new cycle; received the statement from PBB), the charge suddenly disappear from the "authorized charge". Outstanding also start from zero and credit limit back to the full amount.

I am wondering what is happening to the taiwan charge? Anyone encounter this problem?

Thanks
*
this is authorization charge, which is to temporary hold a certain amount from your credit limit. this is to ensure your card has enough credit for the actual conference fee (usually equal or lower than the original authorization charge).

in your case, what was the actual conference fee? was it charged?

More than RM1k. The latest statement generated on 6/2/20 did not include this amount. I assumed it is hold in "authorized charge" still, but today when I try to search for it, its disappear from the "authorized charge" out of sudden.

That day after i paid for the amount of money, I can see the exact amount via pbb app (but they put it as "unposted" in the app). Today, the "unposted" amount also disappear from the app list.

But i used the credit card to pay for the giant groceries yesterday are in "authorized charged" column. And my credit limit only deducted the giant payment, did not deduct the taiwan payment (i remember my credit limit on 5/2/20 was deducted the taiwan payment)

So, how to confirm whether I have paid for the conference fee? Thanks
*
if this is the case, then it was not a preauthorization charge at the first place.

29 Jan - the organizer charge your card for rm1k. then it appeared as "authorized charge" for the card aka "unposted" transaction.

6 Feb - statement generated, fee not appear yet. this is because the organizer have not settled/claimed the fee they charged earlier or the charge already expired (usually after 7 days) -- which is why not appeared as "authorized charge" in yor pbb card -- thus the CL is released back.

i guess it took too long for the organizer to perform settlement (or missed out or forgotten), then the charge in your card expired (you gained!)

now, depends on you, whether to contact back the organizer or just wait for them to contact you back to re-charge the fee biggrin.gif

Coz it says split transaction not counted for. As for my case, i did not topup one merchant 8 straight times, so they cannot say i did ‘split’ transaction. That was my thought. Since no one answering, i think 8x BP/Boost straight should be no prob, guess easier job for me next week, even last night i split between bp n boost, so susah to in and out from one app to another

how are you gonna ask the merchant to 'split' the transaction then?

if i go Sushi Zanmai, then i ask to split the bill to 8 bills of rm80 each, then i pay rm80 x 8 = this is split transaction?

coz if up there if split transaction, then i see why 8x bp is not split also, but if the above example is seperate transaction, then how someone can perform a 'split' transaction?
*
usually split billing is by merchant's POS terminal. 1 big amount, but split to small amount. some F&B POS can do that, some dont, some merchants even specifically reminds you "not allowed split billing".

unless you can "tell" BP to split one big RM640 amount into 8x chunks of RM80 --- ie reload RM640 one-time, but bigpay split to 8x chunks -- which you cant.

with BP, you are essentially making 8 separate transactions of RM80 each, whereby each transaction is unique.

seasoned users here would know the difference when participating PBB cashback campaigns for years now.
