Hi Everybody. I'm working for standard chart. I'm a Personal Financial Consultant (PFC).

For p. loan application, the documents needed are as below.

Self employed:
1) IC
2) Biz Reg
3) Form B & LHDN tax payment receipt

Salaried applicant:
1) IC
2) 3 mths payslip
3) latest epf statement (can use kiosk to print out also)

# credit card can be use for either self employed or salaried. if loan amount is <50k than c.card can be use. for >50k income documents stated above is needed.

Once loan is approved, you can activate and get your money from any standard chart branch in M'sia. Those of you from Penang can give drop by the Penang Standard Chart branch to see me. whats the point advertising your self, we want to know the rate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its 0.67% per mth or 8.04 per annum. it can go even that...trust me.

The above rates is the lowest . It can go as high as 17% to honest. If you mthly commitment is like more than 80% of your income then you're doomed.

The higher the risk rating the bank categorize you, the higher the interest. Anyway, all approved p. loan you still can cancel in within 1 mth if you are not satisfied with the rates.

whatsup with the personal loans right now? i got two calls from agents offering personal loans..one from uob and one from standard chartered in the same day! the last time i got such calls from agents is almost two years ago..

I guess they are direct sales people. Standard Chart have it's own direct sales/outsourcing arm, Price Solutions. They will always identify themselves as Standard Chart staff which truthfully they are not.

No processing fee. Once the loan is approved you have a mth to decide you want to accept the loan or not. If you doesnt want the loan, just head over to the nearest branch to cancel it.

We have two types of personal loan (same interest rate), let me show you ;


1) Personal Financing-i (islamic p. loan)
*Based on reducing balance
*Early settlement fee of 3% or RM200 (whichever is higher) of the o/s amt
*Can do partial settlement to shorten your tenure but no full settlement.
*Can ask for further rate reduction yearly

2) Quick Cash Edge (conventional p. loan)
*Based on flat rate
*No early settlement fee (can settle anytime)
*If you settle early, usually the bank will give you rebate, the rebate is subjective though

hi i have just applied a personal loan from ocbc bank last thursday. normally will take how long to get my loan approve? coz it seems take quite sometime to process my application.

if you use credit card, it takes 1 day. full doc will take up few days.
I think by tml the sales staff will let you know the result ady. cheers~

I want to ask regarding personal loan. I never experience this before.

My situation:

working at PTPL College for 6 month (suppose confirmed but ptpl a lil bit lembap regarding official confirmation)
gross income RM 1600
no other loan - car, house etc (unless if u consider ptptn relevant)
need RM 10, 000 loan. (if eligable. if not how much can i borrow)
Am i eligable for any bank? i want to pay the loan for 2 years.
what do i need? (guarantor, payslip, etc)
