Guys, I have a problem. I upgraded to Maxis 3G sim & since then every time I restart my phone (or put my sim into another phone), it will send message & will deduct Rm0.30

I don't know where the msg is sent. Someone from Maxis called me & told that they don't see any deduction like that at all.

I've already changed again the sim. I've already tried in the simplest phone that does not contain any virus.

they gave me the last option to change back to normal sim & my Rm25 upgrade money will be refunded. They told me that THEY ONLY GIVE ME 16K SIM (my previous normal sim was 64K)

What should I do?

just wanna share my experience....... before this, one of my line was the usual non-3G 64k maxis prepaid simcard.
evertime i access the internet from my mobile(using WAP GPRS profile), ie; surfing for sports news or just login to google and yahoo mail/messenger. i noticed even if i'm connected for about half an hour, it only deducted less then 1 bucks from my credit.
recently, my sim card having some problem due to wear and tear. i went to klcc and upgrade to 128k 3G sim card.
after that, i can only go to internet thru my mobilephone using maxis 3G profile. it doesn't work on the old WAP GPRS profile anymore. and heck, barely 5 minutes on the mobile internet, it charges me almost 1 bucks already.
maxis 3G profile was a lot more expensive compare with the
WAP GPRS profile. i don't even noticed the different in speed! heck! don't know how much it'll cost me if i'd ever download something! oh! i'm on non-3G phone.

This is why I am waiting for Maxis to implement OCS for prepaid users. Supposed to be by the end of this year but not sure if or when it will actually happen, knowing how Maxis likes to suck every last sen from us.

Waiting for Maxis to implement OCS on Hotlink is taking ages. I'm wondering why they still don't want to take that initiative!

Aiiyah...you know, I know-lah *money money*

Right now, whenever a user has a credit deduction dispute with Maxis like ViRaViRa, how is he going to prove his case? With OCS, at least we have some black-and-white proof of our usage.

Not to forget Sarawak too. Celcom rules the whole of Sarawak. Most ppl you know would be either using 013/019. Maxis coverage in Sarawak not so good. But still better than Digi.

If u go west msia, then u see majority of the ppl there using Maxis. Like my corporate company phone listing, i can say 99% of my colleagues / bosses in west msia are using Maxis.

i feel like this time hotlink wants to compete kaw kaw with digi.. hotlink plan is very similar to beyond prepaid, and when digi launch 36cent, in less than 1week they have response (note that digi use 'now even lower' while hotlink use 'now even better')

Does the new call rate mean that upon reloading RM 30 and above, I'll be entitled to 36 cents/min call rate for every call I made?

Hotlink counter promotion is very good. Just top up RM 30 to enjoy lower call rate to any network and this flat rate stays for 30 days. Good job! rclxms.gif
