For converting to Total Plan from old plans, you have no choice but instead to give the Hotlink CS a call.
Still can - Press *108*8# & you can convert to Total Plan

hey smile.gif anyone knows how much is it to send an sms to my fren which is on my activ5 list if the person isint in malaysia/is overseas?
If he is still using that maxis(activ5) number in overseas, you will be charged the same - 1cent or 5cents (talk plan).....but he will be charged for roaming (depends on the roaming telco)

any idea how to setup MMS for my Hotlink prepaid samsung x820?
Use automatic web configuration. Go to hotlink website & on the main screen, there is " Activate your GPRS/MMS"

Can prepaid 2G SIM be switched to 3G via *136#  ?

If so, after doing that, can the upgraded SIM be used in a 2G phone any more?

Go ahead, wean me off Celcom!

111
Yes, can be switched but your simcard is still a 2G simcard, just you have activated 3G.
AFAIK *136# is oni for maxis.

You can use in a 2G phone. No problem thumbup.gif

there's a new service called Free self help hotline....for Hotlink users

just call 11311

The Hotline helps you to quickly access various handy features such as GPRS/MMS settings, unblocking your SIM card, top up by credit card and much more.

sorry.what i meant was i have been using call divert on my hotlink since last year and i did not notice any fees for using call divert biggrin.gif
There is no specific fees. It works like this :
Let's say you have Maxis (B), & another number C

When A calls your B & you divert your call to C, A will be charged for calling B/min & B will be charged for for calling C/min

How can I make a serious complaint to Maxis management about prepaid 3G customer sevice? Email to address at website bounces, calls to 1-300 don't produce what they promised, etc...  Starting to cost cash!

Is there an effective working  e-ddress or phone number to use? Name and title?

Go directly to Maxis Centre in KLCC

Yup, i noe digi can...but i askin whether maxis can or not, hav u tried? how much credit left in ur hotlink? cos i wan to divert my 012 to my 016.
Ok, I got your point. The problem with Maxis is you can only divert calls when your line busy, not answered, etc

So, you cant divert all calls as what you do in DiGi (Maxis don't allow divert all calls)

I just saw this notice when I got into Hotlink website :

QUOTE
"Notice 2 : Due to a series of service up-grades from 04/03/07 to 30/03/07, your Bonus SMS may not be available for a week; your bonus amount will show "0". However the correct balance will be reinstated once the upgrade is completed. During the upgrade period any SMS sent will be charged at a normal rate. "

So, does it means that we will be charged RM0.15 flat even for sms to maxis numbers especially Activ5??? shocking.gif

guys i hv a problem here . I juz activate my mms (pepaid), but when i tried to open an mms , it says downloading for a while , afterthat it says download failed , wad happened? is it becoz my gprs not yet been activate?

second prob, after i tried to activate my gprs, by pressing 100* , then, i received 2 msg , 1 msg say the gprs is done . second 1 it says ' to download setting for nokia/se , pls type the following...........' something like dat la . then i type GPRS SONYERICSSON W810i and send it, why it reply me wif the msg saying  that the phoen model im using is not recognized . what should i do?  QUESTION: is my gprs avtivated?
Activation only is not enough. You need to download the appropriate setting for your phone (in this case GPRS setting & MMS Setting).

If you are using DiGi or Maxis or Celcom, go to their respective website to download the setting. It's less hassle & easier...
