woots!! sorry mate, maybe influenced by digi too many already. i really think that maxis know that they loss to digi in profit making and hope to bounce back. i think in maxis, same as digi, prepaid is the number priority to them.

ok, finally...the 3G already activated on Friday night....and then, download the 3G setting via *100#, get the setting and now can see an icon (3G) in K618i....but not yet try on video call yet....because just back to Penang, which has 3G coverage here....so will try after top up...

BTW, what's the video call rate for Talk Plan?....what's Hotlink Plan benefit? Now got so many plan....still blur-blur since total plan...anylink to check on Talk Plan calling and sms rate which updated?

For Sms plan,what's the call rate for active5? Just FYI,all plans also will get 38sen/min whole Malaysia,so no hurry to change your plan. If wrongly choose it will be one way street and can't change back

Maxis sucks. I had a very good impression towards Maxis, but now no more.

I upgraded my sim to 3G the the problem started since then. Each time I put my simcard into a phone, there will be a message sent & I will be deducted RM0.30 (don't know whether it deducts while the sim is still in the phone or not). Im using prepaid by the way.

I've made a complaint to Maxis on the next day after purchase & yesterday they called to inform that their side don't have any problem. They can even blame my phone for virus etc. I've even tried the sim on the simplest phone - Nokia 7250i & it still sends message.

I suspect maybe it's due to faulty sim & went there for a replacement. They didn't want to replace because they don't trust me. (WHAT THE HELL, THEY CAN'T EVEN TRACE THAT THERE IS SUCH PROBLEM. Until now I'm sure they don't believe that I have this problem coz their system don't show anything, even where my credit goes)

After that a so called "technical expert" helped me out but that guy seems to be worse than me. He is referring to all his friends regarding my problem & he doesn't even know what simple steps to do to check my prepaid details via his computer.

Finally after more than 1 hr, they agreed to replace my simcard. But HELL, the problem is still there & it's sucking up my money. It means their system is at fault but their so called 'technical experts' can't even solve it. Are they really technical experts?

Shit, this is another way of Maxis to suck people's money. I HATE MAXIS.

i only found that the activ5 is not as cheap as mention..juz feel like it is dripping cash in a high speed...rm10/min for non-peak hours..yet seems to flow so fast..dno isit realy hanging on with the call rate o nt..yet when i use other telco, its slow flow..erm..my gf even claim that 012/017 active5 is cheating with the time rate.dono isit real.
i check the call time and divide in with the cash..erm..its ok but juz feel its flowing fast..

i cant recieved the color sms la..
maxis asked me to open via internet..
when i entered the add and pasword given, also cant open la..

the only time i had this problem was when i subscribed to lousy JED last time. they keep on sending me rubbish sms and cut 1bucks from my account. once i terminated the subscription, it's back to good again.
your problem seems to be a virus activity, which is auto sending sms to a certain party that sucks your credit. heck! did you try another non 3G phone?

Added on July 10, 2007, 11:48 amhmm.... are you on MMS enable phone? it'll be easier to activate and configure your WAP MMS thru maxis site itself.
next time, you don't have to go to maxis site to retrieve your MMS.

erm...about the pasword, check if it's caps lock or small letter.
O and 0(zero) does make a lot of dofferent!

Any one in Penang faces network distruption lately since Sunday nite??
Now in my college here - (INTI Bukit Jambul), i'm havin a hard time making phone calls nad sms are delayed frequently....

Nop, I've tried my friend's 3G sim & his one is good. No problem. The disappointing part is even Maxis can't help me out.

It's nothing to do with virus. I was even using the 7250i & that phone is impossible to have virus. Furthermore I've tried in several phones & it's deducting credit...

i think my hp SE w700i can recieve MMS right..
about the password, i typed as in the sms.. capital or small letters.. exactly same..

if the phone not running on symbian OS, it's definitely not a virus.
do you ever subscribe to 3rd party entertainment/mms/bla...bla... video provider?
if yes, you may need to unsubscribe to them.
changing the SIM card with the new one should help. if the problem persist, go to maxis center and show it infront of them, they might be able to do something then.

paiseh..its rm0.10..hahaha..terlalu syok!by then im using walkit talkie to tok wif my gf liaw..she is living at the hostel at the otherside of the campus..save my money alot..thou the line is noisy but its q relxing wifout bothering the payment.hahaha.my gf enjoys it oso..imagine everynite we spet rm10 to tok about..in a month..we can buy new hp liaw..hahaha

nah, your sim card is already gprs enable, assume your curent phone support mms, all you have to do is download the mms/gprs setting from the same site to the phone that you're using now.
W700 can't send sms? very strange. play around the the message setting.
maxis message center number is +60120000015. message type set to text. reply via.... default or anything other than same network.
you can do factory setting reset. make sure you back up everything cuz factory setting will reset your phone. any contact, sms and picture will be deleted. the default securit code is 0000 or check your manual.
you may have to re enter the date..bla...bla.... once you're done with factory setting. but heck, it'll feels like new again

Just change from DIGI to Hotlink Prepaid, still dunno how to use it feature. Few question to ask.

1) How to check my balance via phone? Izzit possible to have each end call msg that show my balances left?

2) Miss call alert got extra charges?

3) Can i hav a account from Maxis website that i can check my balances, call duration and bla bla like what DIGI got on their sites?

4) Call rates for own network n other network. Also active5 can add other network? wad the active5 rates?
