Hi all, heard that Maxis provide the service of having 2 numbers on 1 sim card. Is this true? Then does this applicable to prepaid also?

Thanks.

Which phone are you using?
Problem solved smile.gif

I'm using N95. I even switched my friend's Hotlink 3G sim into my phone but it didn't work until I went to maxis centre...

Now it's working fine smile.gif

BTW, is there any unlimited data plan for prepaid?

i check my hotlink plan and it is still Talk Plan....

previous Total Plan totally sucks....

Is the new Hotlink Plan better than Talk Plan in all areas (SMS, Local/Outstation call, etc)

Should i change to New Hotlink Plan?

i think u shold change to the new plan. i hv been hating hotlink ever since they launched cuz they always come up with lousy / expensive to use packages with lots of hidden things.

now finally they are clear, and came out with a very good package aimed to dethrone digi prepaid. fully thumbs up from me to hotlink new plan.

What kind of responses are you getting? It actually doesn't matter. You can even use a 64k sim for 3G.

When I call 60123456789, it will not be the same as 0123456789. Some one else will answer the call.

I saved the number as 60123456789, and when I dial via my contact list, it will be another person. But when 60123456789 calls me, my phone will detect and the name will appear. Weird.

btw i just switched to the new Hotlink Plan.there isin't much difference just that the call rates are like the 1 nation 1 rate the Talk plan offered last time. unsure.gif

outdoorxplorer,
The only problem I encountered was when I wanted to switch back and forth between 3G and GPRS (to save battery life).

Once 3G is activated on a lower-capacity SIM card, it could lose the ability to revert to GPRS. A call to CS confirmed this as a known issue and I was offered two options:
(1) pay Maxis $25 to upgrade to a 3G SIM card which would give me the freedom to switch between 3G or GPRS
(2) deactivate the 3G service

This problem might not affect ALL non-3G SIM cards (depends on your luck) and in your case-after activating 3G-you might not want to use GPRS ever again. So, nothing to worry about.

I think it'll still under Total Plan unless you convert it later or they help you to convert it.

Just that all Easy Plan packs will be automatically converted.
