I really have no idea

E495 is consumer grade, still a decent model though but price has slightly increased as well
*
Haha... I thought the should be getting cheaper as there are always newer and better models available. I also came across posts stating if we order from Lenovo, it is actually shipped from overseas? Worry might be a delay in receiving the laptop.

May I ask is there a major difference in T495 & E495? I mean what are the main difference since E495 is closer to my budget but if T495 is worth the extra cost, I will consider. And any idea the battery life? Can last for perhaps 7 hours? blink.gif

It's shipped from China for customized models

T495 uses higher quality materials (slight downgrade from T490, but still better build quality compared to E495, not to say that E495 isn't good tho), also better QC in general. Other differences you can check via spec sheet (weight, number of ports etc)

7 hrs should be obtainable in T495 under light load

Looking for a laptop for my mom,

Her budget is max 1.5k (which I wanna ask, is there actually any decent laptop at this price?).

Usage: Microsoft Word, Excel, WPS Office usage and streams Youtube often.

No other requirements, she just wants a laptop that can do those without lags. Hopefully 1.5k is enough because I asked her to raise the price a bit to 2k but she thought that it was too expensive.

My female friend is looking for a laptop

Budget: < MYR 3000
Screen : 14 inch
Usage: surfing internet, stream YouTube and watch drama. Occasionally use it for photo editing and video editing.

Which will be the best laptop for her? Need a reliable laptop

She and me both confused on which one to get, intel or amd. We are eyeing for matebook D14 but it has both intel and amd variant.

I have read and a lot of people mentioned that amd is superior than intel nowadays. But I have also read that amd without the Radeon graphic card, will be not so good compared to intel.

Using which programs for photo editing and video editing?

If reliability is a main concern, consider business laptops, more expensive though

Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premiere Pro

Not really a main concern la, you know we just want a laptop that can last.

Budget really constrained so remain at < myr 3000

So not sure matebook D14 ok or not. sweat.gif

Since you'll be using Adobe programs, would be better to take Intel

Fine with low sRGB display and non-upgradeable RAM?

I don’t think she will go and upgrade ram or anything in the future.

As for the screen I think she is ok as well.

It would be great if you can provide us an option like low sRGB which laptop is good , and if high sRGB which laptop is good as well.

I am sorry for asking such a spoonfeed question but we are kinda lost and really not sure which is good. sad.gif

No preferences on weight and battery life for both options? Also I assume that you need the laptops now and cannot wait further?

Since budget less than 3k, can’t really ask for much. Consumer laptops will do as well smile.gif

I see. Additionally, let’s say if we have some stigma on Acer’s brand, will there be an alternative?

Following is the question that she insisted to ask 😅:
Would like to know also why not the matebook D14 because she said she wanted to have huawei laptop due to she is using huawei phone now.

Again, we are truly appreciative on all the efforts given to us. notworthy.gif

Thank you so much.

So in your opinion, Intel shall be the preferred one. Noted

I think the list obsolete edi. Latest Acer Swift 3, only AMD processor under our budget sad.gif

https://www.acer.com/ac/en/MY/content/models/laptops/swift3

Swift 3 (SF314-42-R43G) - RM 2599
(AMD)

Swift 3 (SF314-42-R8A9) - RM 2599
(AMD)

Nevertheless.. appreciate a lot thank you so much again smile.gif

Hello sifu, would like a laptop recommendation.

1. Budget : RM3-4k
2. Usage : Gaming (mainly CSGO) and uni work mainly
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) :
Display size (prefer 17 inch if possiblem but if it's too much of a compromise then 15inch should be good), battery should be okay for some uni classes as well

Thank you!
